#2802  by Veteran Grand_Admiral_Thrawn - 5/5/2004 10:51:26 PM

Pretty much.

#2803  by Citizen Genghis Hank - 5/5/2004 11:13:10 PM

Is there a reason behind the name changes? Or just time for a change?

Well, I changed because I was looking for a Thrawn avatar, and CE offered the opinion that A Better Tomorrow just didn't match with Thrawn. The name Vision of Tomorrow keeps part of my name, and matches with the book Vision of the Future. Best of both. And I'm keeping Mitth'raw'nuruodo in reserve.

Oooogh! No way I'm typing that! Would that be Mitt or Mrn?

Thats why its reserve. I am guessing I would just be M.

In case you didn't know, Thrawn is the key part of that name. So that would be the best nickname.

The Jedi have their mind tricks to confuse us. The Diplomats, not content with the endless repetition of the same diplomatic mantra in negotiations, now resort to changing their names at irregular intervals to throw further confusion on the Metaverse.

I think I shall have to resort to assigning a numeric designation to each active Diplomat, and referring to them that way - then it won't matter when you change your names. Obviously Dream Warrior will be D-1, but I'll let the rest of you choose your own numbers if you like.

You are spending too much time with the Yor Mangnum. Numeric identifiers indeed.

Hey... Admiral Kaz. Grats Buddy.

You could be right Damoose, best that I go home and make them pay for their insolence.

No, some are just be infected by a nasty virus that change the name of the infected

Well, if Dream warrior changes his name, how do you know that he is D-1?
Don't tell me that that Yors are better at remembering the various aliases for some active metaverse members than you

Aah, D-1 will always be the Diplomat's emperor, regardless of actual name. You could be "D-deux" if you want PP.

I'm sure they are, at least in the short term until they meet a Guardian with a big stick to hand.

Ah! That's what we need! A James Bond empire!

How do you conduct diplomacy without spying?

#2820  by Veteran Grand_Admiral_Thrawn - 5/6/2004 9:50:53 AM

Diplomacy is the art of spying in effect. If I am so good at diplomacy that I can rip the AI off on techs, then I don't have to spy.

And no, I'm not M because M was a woman.

Only recently, and only due to "political correctness" pressure.

He beat me to it. Old Bond is the best Bond! (and original Trek too!)

#2823  by Veteran Grand_Admiral_Thrawn - 5/6/2004 9:58:16 AM

Well, I haven't seen the old ones.

But I like to keep my enemies confused.

#2824  by Citizen damoose - 5/6/2004 10:23:00 AM

No doubt it makes it easier when you are confused as well.
