btw how close we getting to the final release of the GCWriter? our beta testing efforts don't seem to be paying out much |
|
I think you, DW and I will have to be the testing team (although Ichot Tolot has also been good on feedback! Thanks Ichot!)
Can you give it a whirl yourself and see how it works for you? DW just reported a bug with event creation.
Realistically, with so little testing, I don't think the beta version will be ready for another week or two I think it will miss our anniversary

then again you could also say since the beta testers are finding nothing perhaps there's nothing to find...

i see that but still it was nice to hope...

Morning/Evening all. I've finally finished my exams so can go back to playing a little Galciv now.
As for rock-climbing, how's the setup at the indoor place you're going to? The only place in the town where I live has about 4 surfaces, with most of the handholds the easiest ones. I have to travel a few hundred k's to the mountains to find somewhere decent.

the best indoor rockcliming i've been too is a 10 foot motorized one at a skating rink

Well, my gym has 3 locations. Radwall-designed. The one I mostly go to has routes from 5.4 through 5.12c. One location has 30' walls and the other two have 40' walls. They also have a bouldering area with problems from V0- to V9 on 15' walls, bouldering cave, etc. They have sport lead routes and inertial autobelay systems. The route-setters change everything every 60-90 days. You can place requests for new routes. For example, I just asked them to put up a somewhat strenous layback in a nice overhung corner (since I am a masochist ) and they say that they will put something up for me within 2 weeks. 15% slab, 25% vertical, 60% overhang and roofs. Fun stuff.

Lucky. The one near me doesn't even bother pretending to cater for anyone over the age of about 6. It's the main reason I stopped rock-climbing - nowhere nearby to do it.

Pickled is just a bit redundant and not necessary |

The only thing pickled in the graveyard is us and our friends after a friday or saturday night party!
