7 straight messages from members of your own empire in your own thread, that's pretty rare.

Indeed, pretty cool!

Well, lets brake the row

Why wouldn't we welcome you? We are always happy when new people join the community. That and you play a lot of games. Wow. I should probably get off my rear and play one.

And we are a great bunch of people. We also talk a lot in the Embassy now. Great place, and we have emoticons!

I'm so happy you found us, Trinox. What do you think, DW?

(liberally borrowing lines from my favorite movie, "Bladerunner"...)

I think I'm sort of addicted.

Take a look at when I started playing. But that was what, 5 months back? This is the longest I have ever played a game constantly I think. This place, and our empire has quite a draw.

I don't know answers, I just do eyes. You Nexus, huh? I design your eyes Great film esp. directors cut!!

Glad you here with us Senator Trinox

I love any Ridley Scott film! I also have the Director's cut. I watch it every couple of months.

Welcome again, Trinox.

"Chew, if only you could see what I've seen with your eyes."

And one of the most famous lines (if not the most famous): "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time - like tears in rain. Time to die." -Roy Batty, Replicant: Nexus-6.

By the way, if you liked the movie, then you have got to read the original script. It is significantly different than the movie. I'd like to get a group of Bladerunner groupies together to discuss this original script. You can read it here: http://www.godamongdirectors.com/scripts/blader.txt Link

Morning/evening everyone. And welcome to Trinox. I haven't been playing Galciv very long either, so it's good to know I'm not the only new guy.

Wow, I can tell you are from Connecticut. You even type like you have a New England accent. Oh, and I used to live just outside Groton before you ask.

Let me guess, you say 'idea' 'idear'

#3790  by Citizen cactoblasta - 6/23/2004 11:42:56 PM

All you Americans have weird accents. All nasal or drawling - there are only three English accents which sound "right", and they are city-Australian, "English" English and French.

Anything else is uncivilised.

#3791  by Veteran Grand_Admiral_Thrawn - 6/24/2004 12:35:23 AM

So you say the Croc Hunter is civilized?

But just curious, have you ever heard a Midwestern non-accent or flat accent?

In one fell swoop, he managed to bash Americans, Canadians, Irish, Indians(the Asian variety), New Zealanders, Bahamans, Welsh, and Scots.

Not very diplomatic!

Morning all.

Actually, for the most part, I have what Vot is talking about, the flat midwestern accent. The land of telemarketers.

Kass, to get it right, you have to say: "y'all" for refering to a single person, an "all y'all" when refering to multiple people.
