Great, I stepped out again, because I don't want other players to think that in and out of an empire is the normal thing to do, I don't want to go back to the empire without the approval of the Emperor and the Senate, also because I broke one of the empire rules about not flaming other players.

Man, I just got home from school. This is a lot to take in. Someone please correct me if I got any of this wrong. Mayito has stepped out due to posts about Clones that have been taken to be inflammatory, because some members of the Metaverse think the Clone Stories are inflammatory. Mayito is willing to return, if Spellforce approves, but Spellforce is MIA. Is this right?

Also, I don't know much about those clone stories. I just started reading them, and I thought they were kind of funny, added a new spice like the other stories in the Metaverse that are passed around. Granted, the stories span many threads, and can occasionally be hard to follow if you read them in the wrong order. But to me this seem awfully like the recuitment issue in the main thread that myself and Exar started by accident some time ago. I considered dropping out as well at that time, and other times because my manners are, lets just say not a good as they should be at some times. But I do not see any true flaming, but I may have not have read the exact posts. While I have seen insulting, they were not to extreme levels, and are in direct response. This doesn't seem like flaming, but like any arguement between two people. It could propably have been handeled better, but I don't think the lines were crossed, just toed on. Inflammatory is not the right word. The stories are "spammed" across multiple threads. We suggested in a direct fashion that he start his own thread where the stories would flow better.

Ok, I just got through the Guardian thread. I don't think that spamming is right. Spamming is pointless. Mayito has a point. So therefore, I took the statements to be inflammatory. I noticed the new thread. There was quite a lot about this today. Why today over any other day? Mayito has posts everywhere about the clones. Why was it decided to jump on him with both feet today? I thought we were in an alliance. There was no reason for such harsh posts by anyone. Simply asking him to stop could have been enough. If such things didn't stop, the problem could then be addressed. But that was not what happened. Take a look at the recruitment problems. NOBODY has posted a recruitment post for months because everyone is afraid someone will say they stepped over the line and denounce them. This seem all too similar.

Did that. A suggestion was made to put it in a new thread. Then he responded with not posting anymore, then he quit his empire. That is when it blossomed into more. I do not feel it blossomed into anything near a flame war. Have you noticed a pattern though? He stopped with the clones and after a while started right up with more. Why not post in his own empire thread? Why not post in a separate thread (as he finally did which is cool, the story then stays coherent)?

All I can say is today everyone had enough of it and tried to suggest alternatives which were met with his quitting the empire. I, nor any of the Guardians, bear any ill will whatsoever to Mayito. He is an asset to these forums and a decided proponent for the game. We merely objected to all the posts scattered about the forums about a subject he did the same with back when we were on the main page.

ABT: It really has been resolved and there aren't any hard feelings AFAIK. I think the original objection was to the resurrection of a theme that had been "killed" several times.
