Tried to stop by this spiffy new "Embassy," but it's not accepting my login from the old "Diplomat Senate Halls." Is the old site still going? I note there haven't been any posts there for several days...

Apparently, this is what I get for taking a GalCiv vacation for a month. That, and having to skim about 5,000 posts in the Guardians thread to catch up on events. What's an honorary Diplomat to do?

You have to re-resgister at the new site. The old one...well,we Guardians have a private forum still open there, but it's pretty dead as well. I'd like it if we could move to the new site.

We'd be happy to take your empire in at our new forum if your Emperor and members approve. Just let VoT or I know and we'll make sure you get set up properly there with your own forums, etc. (I'm going to post this to the Guardian's thread also.)

Nice to see you climbing up the ladder, Cacto. But remember, play to have fun! I just had to throw that in, grin.

Laugh, looks like a lot of fun.

Ben, your access is approved. Welcome to the forum!

I'm in, as you've probably noticed. Thanks!

And now for something completely different:

Picked up the recent DVD issue, which includes a couple of bonus features (choice of a remixed soundtrack or the "original glorious mono," the Roundtable song dubbed over stop-motion animation of Lego Knights, etc.). Though Tim Curry as Arthur is enough to give one nightmares, this could be interesting. They'll probably be selling Nerf versions of the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch before Christmas.

#4143  by Veteran Grand_Admiral_Thrawn - 7/7/2004 10:57:29 PM

I'd like one of those personally. Wouldn't that be fun?

"Hey kids, it Nerf Hand Grenade! Toss it at your friends and pretend they blow into a billion pieces! Just imagine the blood and gore! Now sold with Nerf Crotchbat.

#4144  by Veteran Grand_Admiral_Thrawn - 7/8/2004 2:49:59 PM

Ok, come on the joke wasn't that bad.

#4145  by Citizen littlewotts_ - 7/8/2004 3:19:07 PM

Nerf Crotchbat

I'd buy one of those for the neighbor kid.

#4146  by Veteran Grand_Admiral_Thrawn - 7/8/2004 3:45:33 PM

The Nerf Crotchbat is an old SNL skit I believe. Good show to watch if you watch the old episodes. Most of the new aren't any good.
