Slothrop: as one of the tournament organisers, I'm just making a friendly inquiry - on 6/3 your record shows eleven huge games posted in a 24-hour period. The best count of most other players is 3-4 gigantic games in a similar time period. This is NOT an accusation, but in the interests of fairness to others, can you reassure me as to how this happened? It would be fine if some were saved up during the first week of March and submitted on the same day - we just asked people not to save up games before the tournament started. Exar and I are simply trying to keep a lookout on game submissions that seem outside the usual range. I stress again, no one is accusing you of foul play, and I will applaud a big effort as much as anyone - we are just asking about submissions that seem way outside average.

I honestly don't think he was saving. He had made a comment that his wife was out of town, I know he can play a game in under an hour, and he did submit some others before and after that streak. You will see submissions all through March. I am not being accusing to you in any way, and if I was in another empire, I would be asking the same question. Thank you for being so polite. I will leave Slothrop to make his personal response.

I ain't reading that backwards stuff. Just 'cause I missed 666 doesn't mean your more evil than I.

No problem. my quickest game was played in 43 minutes. All of those games were played in the same day. Ten between about 0900 and midnight. One of the games was played in the hour between 0000 and 0100 (to get it to squeeze in to the clonebot's posting window). And one in the 0000 to 0100 in the next day. So all told, a dozen in 25 hours.
To reassure you that these were all played after the March 1 start date, I need only point out that they rely on a "feature" of AP beta-4, which was released on 3/04/2004. This "feature" is that it is possible to score 60K points exactly on an Alliance win of Huge/Rare/Tight in AP Beta-4 with a result of Masochist instead of previous Suicidal. (note that my first 60K game score on that was 3/05/2004 and that prior to this, my games were Suicidal - see Link) J.T.Qwerk first mentioned in a thread in the main galciv forum in a thread entitled "noticed changes in AP 1.49I(b).001" posted at 3/5/2004 7:34:43 PM (see Link). My first 60K Masochistic Alliance win was after J.T.Qwerk's posting.
Cheers!

51:20. Not my best, but I fumbled the ball at the goal line and lost at least 5 min.
