I have the honor of announcing this week's recipients of the Diplomats Empire's most important awards. Go to Link to see all of them! (Click on the "Awards" button in the left panel)
First up is the Emperors Special Recognition Award For Service to the Empire. The envelope please.......... [rustling of envelope being opened]
This week's Special Recognition Award goes to MINISTER OF CHAOS! [wild sounds of applause from the audience]
Emperor Mindshock has released a brief statement about the selection of Minister of Chaos as the recipient. Emperor Mindshock: | The Emperors Special Recognition Award For Service to the Empire is not give out every week, but only when it is deserved. This week's award goes to our Minister of Chaos for his service as a Senator and work in that body, and as an Active Member of the Empire with a continued and even growing presence in both the Diplomats Empire thread on the Galciv forum and in our own private forum. As is the case with most of us, Minister of Chaos has a busy RL, but still found time to run a spirited campaign for a senatorial seat and also to participate actively in our community. I thank Minister of Chaos for his services to the Empire and give him this as a token of our appreciation. |

Next up is the Consuls Player of the Week award. While this is a weekly award, it also does not have to be given weekly. However, it has been awarded for both of the past two weeks as there was a plethora of worthy candidates. Past award winners included Kazzryl for his excellent performance in the Excelsior class of the Clone War and XgEvangelist (aka Eva001, Devil Eva) for the feat of progressing from Simple to Masochistic in 15 short days. This week has been no exception. After due consideration, this week's Consuls Player of the Week goes to....
Amulek, Bird of Light! [wild sound of applause from the audience]
This is a player who is now ranked 13th overall in the Metaverse. Awarded for his incredible playing and scoring consistency which has helped to carried the Diplomats Empire into 10th place, Amulek, Bird of Light has also brought to this Empire steadfastness, a steady hand and a clear head. Amulek, Bird of Light is well-respected in the Metaverse for being one of the voices of reason and diplomacy in any situation. We are proud to have such a fine player and a fine person in our empire!
Please join me in congratulating both of these fine award winners. [sounds of loud applause]

I apologize for bringing up this topic of the movie.  I hope that it does not spawn a "not nice" debate.  Not that I want to prevent people from getting stuff off their chest. Only that I'd hate to find that I have created a 'pirate magnet' and otherwise turn people off to our Empire / thread.
