Dont worry about it too much Sloth. If you happen upon it at some point then it would be great. I liked the ability to just imput the desired sequences and then get the graphics to resond, that it had. Now got some stupid picture manger program. Whoope!

SYMPTOMS
When you install Microsoft Office 2003, the Setup program removes all the standard components from Microsoft Office XP that were installed on your computer. This includes the Microsoft Photo Editor program.
CAUSE
Microsoft has replaced Photo Editor with a new photo editing and cataloging program in Office 2003: Microsoft Office Picture Manager.
WORKAROUND
To work around this issue, reinstall Photo Editor. To do this, follow these steps:
Insert the Microsoft Office XP CD-ROM into your computer's CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive.
If the Office XP Setup program does not start automatically, follow these steps:
Click Start, and then click Run.
In the Open box, type drive:\Setup.exe, where drive is the letter of your CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive.
Start to step through the Setup process, and then select Customize for the type of Setup to perform.
When you reach the Selecting Features step, set each node of the Setup tree to Not Available.
Under Features to install, expand Office Tools.
Click Microsoft Photo Editor, and then click Run from My Computer.
Click Install Now.
Click OK when Office XP Setup has completed successfully.

Move to Ohio. I know Stark County, where the cities of Canton and Massillon are located, and where I used to live, have below ground power lines only. Only had one power outages in 5 years. I have had something like 20 in 7 years here in Tennessee. Crappy southern construction. That's what we get for using something that FDR invented.

Hey... Marquesa... Did you ever get a response from SD support on your AP download problem?

Opps... Just saw your post in the ANZAC thread on the subject.

I've just been lurking everywhere. I post where there needs to be a post.

Still trying and failing to beat Maso again. I am thinking of dropping back a level or two, just to get in the groove again.

I don't know. Just bad luck I guess. Can't get off the ground, end up too far behind in tech, and then somebody comes knocking at the door. D*mn computers.

Nod, I always do better later in a game. But the start is always difficult, not enough money, too far behind in tech, etc. I usually go in debt for a short period, and then come out of it. With the new AP, I had to step back a level in difficulty.
I wonder if my start is so difficult because I am only putting 1 mil of colonists on new planets during colonizing rush.

Any word from Mindshock?

1 mil of colonists

Really??? 1 mil not 30 or 50 or 100 or 200 million?

From what I understand it will help keep the morale stable. I think I may have misunderstood. Perhaps, the 1 mil launches should be only for class 14 planets?

#1824  by Veteran the 3rd child - 4/4/2004 12:10:04 PM

no it's 1 million, people have created colony ships with just a 1 mil capacity for it.
