Don't complain, I have to pay 1.22€ per liter |
|
1.22€ equates to $2.00 CDN. If I had to pay $2.00 CDN / liter I would .... probably take it up the *$$ and pay the cost. I would sell both vehicles and get the most miserly auto I could find.
But I betcha my bike would be raking up the miles.

Up here in the frozen north we support global warming. Where is the downside? A couple of degrees warmer sound about right to me. We just drive around spewing carbon into the atmosphere to get warm. We need our cheap gas. |

You know that covering the earth with clouds during the winter could trigger an ice age too, don't you?
| |

|
Well, as I think of it, we know that the warming could cause clouds to cover the earth. So they retain heat. But in winter, wouldn't the little heat that reaches that part of the earth just get blocked away so it just gets cold? I don't know if this is a scientific fact, but it makes sense. I think we will end up with 130 F summers and -40 F winters.

We also know that it was once quite cooler.
And I thought of proof for my Ice Age Theory. There was a volcanic eruption in Asia somewhere, I want to say the Phillippines, in the early 1800s. Caused a summer 10-15 degrees colder from the tremendous amount of ash it ejected; it was one of the biggest volcano eruptions ever. Going to find something on it.

It's not always the direct sunlight that will do the heating. The infra-red light will penetrate the clouds and cause the greenhouse effect. That is why Venus is so hot. (800F surface temp).

Congrats on the bronze medal Tech.
Think Alex may contest it a little though.
