And now that I'm at work, I walking in to find that the fecal matter has hit the rotating air movement device. |

Re: Technician
"Whatever..." Yeah, who are we kidding. For the first time in the history of our Empire, we had a champion and were finally heading the right direction. The loss of Technician for us is huge. We now drop back to a minor empire again. For the 2nd time in our history, our highest ranking player has quit. Not only our highest ranking player, but one of our top 2 posters as well! damoose is the other one, I'm just a fringe guy! It's a sad day for the Empire indeed. As usual, he's always welcome back, and in fact, we'd love him to return any time. I would especially appreciate it if he decides to "retire" to do it for his brothers in the homeland. Retire in Canada!
Speaking of retiring. Just a couple weeks ago it sounded like Technician had had enough. I'm not surprised at all. Look at how many games you have played, and how many I have played... Look at how you now play your games? Are you really playing for fun anymore? You admittedly play quite cheesy to get the highest point values, and you do it often. I'm surprised you have played as long as you have doing that. I'd be bored out of my mind in a couple of weeks at most. You have to play for fun.
I now think the Metaverse is a detriment to the game. All it's doing is having the regular players focus on how to "cheat" to get more points than they deserve to rise through the Metaverse. It's not about how to play the game for fun. You don't measure your enjoyment levels by the number of points you receive.
I too have fallen victim to this. I really shouldn't be playing Masochistic. At this level I don't play the game like I would like to.
Maybe it's time for me to "retire" from Metaverse games, and just start playing more for fun.

I may tire of playing Maso Tag with Alex |

You know you are enjoying it really.... As an aside, I don't recall a medal changing hands as many times in a month as the bronze has recently....
I second the comments about the Diplo halls.... (I should do, I suppose, as the host!)
Tag....

We have 78 members from many Empires and I was a member before I decided to jump ship. I think the diplomats show signs of growth and I would think it great if my old CSF pals would join up. It would be like old times but we be in a much more active team. |

No, I don't play Galactic Civilizations for the forums. In fact, I only read this forum, as should have been obvious by my ignorance of some of the discussions in other forums. I don't have much in common with most players of Galactic Civilizations.
The hard core players seem to think this is the greatest computer game ever invented and the only one worth playing. I think it is a great game, but have, do and will always play many other games. Also there are things about this game I find quite dissappointing. That being said, it's still the best in it's genre.
I don't pick my Empire based on whether it is active or not. I don't care whether I participate in an active forum or not. Besides, you don't have to belong to an Empire to participate in a forum.
I am Canadian, and that's all I care about. I see no reason to leave, even if we were last place. Some day, we may be.
