That is my point exactly. I joined the Guardians because I thought they were so small that they would never be number 1. I did not realize that the numbers in the other empires had so many inactives and it was all dead wood. Don't let the recruiters here this but personally, I would never join the number 1 empire because it would be like I did not earn it. I like what the Diplomats are doing, only active members stay in. That way you know what you got. I think the Metaverse itself should come up with rules to designate active and inactive players so a new player can truly see what is available and I don't mean screw with their points, just some kind of designation. You would not have some poor lonely Texan posting, looking for his empire. (Great thread though)

The best thing about the Guardians is that Theoden is the most awsome Emporer an Empire could have, and he creates a family atmosphere.

(oh and we are the number 1 hockey country in the world without question)

I'm here for fun and community. I don't play the 'verse as should be obvious to all by now. I’m not interested in cranking games per se. I’m interested in game mechanics and I like suspending my belief in reality. That’s why I play games after all… RL is stressful enough and Greldonizing(TM) ET is one of the many ways I stay in a job and out of jail.

(Hummm…. Something psychological there I’m sure… or maybe just psycho.

)

People come and go, they get tired of things, their interest gets renewed… Tech and others will be back or leave or not as they wish. The CSF will be in the top 10 or top 100 or tail end Charlie… Whatever. It’s all good either way. It is all about fun and like it or not it is only a game.

On size… each person is different… ED chose the G-men for the reasons he mentioned and I chose the CSF because this is my first time in an on-line gaming community and I thought had a good idea about how Canadians would greet/act with a new player like myself. (Turns out I was right… woot! Also turns out that this is a very good, friendly on-line community with many excellent empires and players. Again my good fortune.

)

On dead wood… I personally think that if you are not contributing to the community then why are you here. Dead wood is dead and should be removed. The Boss don’t think that way and that’s good enough for me. He’s the Boss after all.

To do with blocks - almost all my maso are over the last three months - I've stuff moving back nicely at the moment.... ten days ago it was another story....

I'm from Ottawa (home of McGuinty) and I was telling everyone I know not to vote for this guy. They didn't believe me... Well I'm sure they know what they got now... What a disaster...

Our last provincial election was bad though. I hate McGuinty, but I disliked Eves, and to me the NDP is not an option. I voted for the lesser of the evils, as I will likely do in the upcoming Federal election. Luckily for me, the local representative for the Conservatives in Ottawa-Orleans is a great guy, so that makes the decision easy.
