Morning CSF greetings from the back stabbing traitor.

Just wanted to say I did a final update on the CSF Web page. Tried to be neutral and unbiased.

I sent a note to Alex asking for permission to give damoose access to the web server hosting the CSF page.

Alex agreed and I left damoose the details.

I hope you are joking. I do not think anyone thinks that you are a back stabbing traitor unless of course you vote liberal in the upcoming election.

Oh yes... there are definitely lurkers. The UnDead are excellent at this sorta thing. LUNCH!

And I'm half way through a game using VoT's AAR from SH. When I get it finished is another question all together.

Newfy, I notice you are looking for a tiny/Maso strategy. I do try to play those type of games every once in a while, I find them the hardest type of games because you have usually a similar number of planets, or at least I do, to a large map, but without the massive trade income from the distances.

If you could, small maps would likely make it somewhat easier, I have won several of those. But you will have trouble getting positive income because you will be bribing the AIs fairly often. Last time I tried it I think I peaked at something like 100 a month.

When I play those small maps, I usually just follow a large type of map Maso strategy, but adjust because you will have to use less time to make colony ships.

If you need a Maso strategy, the Guardians have a few on their site, I think it is http://guardians.galciv.org Link

Oh, yes I posted a game with a strategy on the Diplomats site, but it is in a area for Honories and Diplomats only.

Basically, build colony ships at 100% military for as long as you need, switch to 100% Research to get the very basic techs, Diplomacy, Trade, Basic Enviro, switch to 60% Social / 40% Military to make freighters, then 65% Science / 35% Social and coast your way to 2190, ally with everyone, end of game. Bribe along the way, keep the income positive after the 100% phases. Maso in a nutshell.

VoT's AAR from SH

whoa, I've been gone too long. I have no idea what this means.

Huh? what does that mean?

Apparently I'm not alone.

Its a Damoose term, I didn't know either and it applied to me.

It means After Action Report. The Diplomats report our games on our website and some of us do a bit of a write-up of the games.

Maso in a nutshell.

I will attempt it again. My problem is I think I either leave a step out or short cut a step and then get crushed. I am tired of getting crushed on Tiny. But, I really want to stay on Tiny.

I have seen that people playing Tiny / MASO are getting 10K more points than I am on crippling. That is a big difference!

I used to have problems with tiny on all strategies leading up to MASO. Now I can beat the game a few different ways on Crippling and win every time. It does get exciting if I can't get contact with all the AI early in the game. That is the key to winning on crippling I think.

I just made the game harder by setting the planets to Rare. My scores are about 800 points less but the game is quite a bit tougher now.
