I added this poorly written Haiku to the Galciv Haiku thread.

Hockey was Toronto
They sucked, long live Calgary
Now flames, burn lightning

We actually are going to get another Saturday night hockey game this series. Do you think the league is listening.

Martin promises billions for health care. Health care can swallow any amount of billions you want to throw at it and it will make little or no difference. When are the politians going to finally have the guts to actually debate the entire system instead of throwing billions more money at it every 4 or 5 years during an election.

#3027  by Citizen Genghis Hank - 5/25/2004 5:34:54 PM

I have seen that people playing Tiny / MASO are getting 10K more points than I am on crippling. That is a big difference!

Newfy, I hope that you stay with crip. I think there needs to be a few of us bucking the maso trend. Have you considered upgrading to AP? That would help your score out some. If you do stay with crip, I could give you a couple of things that I found help the scoring out.

Of course, what matters most is that you have fun doing it, whatever you decide.

Yes I got in a debate at work. This nut running Ontario raised taxes to throw money at health care. The number I read 38 cents out of every tax dollar goes to health care. I want to know when somebody will tell us where all the money they already have is going.

Big Union is part of the problem. We have a system here in BC where only an insane person would take a full time nursing job.

Basicly if you work part time you would get full time hours. But most those hours are all overtime. Why would anyone take full time at regular wage when everyone knows you can take part time work get the same amount of hours at double time.

Someone was esplaining to me last week if your scheduled to work a stat holiday you phone in a "personal day" you still get paid double time for working the holiday. The person they call into replace you gets triple time. No one who is scheduled to work does, so everyone gets part of the gravy train. Every time I here the big Unions sceaming about being the protectors of health care and being the only ones who put patient care 1st I want to puke. Why would they not want the the system to remain the same.

ALRIGHT!!! LET'S GO FLAMES!!!!!

#3031  by Citizen Evil Druid - 5/25/2004 8:18:38 PM

I bet against the flames again because I did not want to jinx them. I bet against them in every series since the start of the playoffs so I figured if I bet on them now I would screw with there Karma.

Go Flames

Calgary 4 Tampa 1

Tampa played like they thought they should win.

Calgary played like wanted to win.

Its a Damoose term,

Actually... It common military term. And I've picked up it's use of the strat forum here and in Realms Beyond. As you can see I've done a lot of reading.

Hey Newf... Check out the Jedi thread... Qui-Gon Jinn is back and he plays tiny/small masos. Perhaps he'll be willing to share.

Genghis Hank, Bring it on. I will take any help in the scoring department you have.

I have no real desire to do MASO on anything other than tiny.

Have you considered upgrading to AP?

I will upgrade to AP when it is released. I have been tempted to purchase the prerelease version but I can wait. I checked your scores and they are very impressive. Seems that you have the strategy for Crippling / Small locked down tight.

Canadian Oil Shortage ... this is why the price of gas keeps going up

AN EXPLANATION... FINALLY!!

There are a lot of folks who can't understand how we
came to have an oil shortage here in Canada.
Well, there's a very simple answer.....
Nobody bothered to check the oil.
We simply didn't know we were getting low.
The reason for this is purely geographical.. ..
All our oil is in Alberta,
and all our dipsticks are in Ottawa.

I here it is really cold in Ottawa today. Its the first time anyone has seen a Liberal walking around with his hands in his own pockets.

That truly is a sad sight.

A sight that I would like to see is some liberals being escorted by their stooges, the RCMP, to a nice warm cell.

Newfy,

As soon as I get a current write up (probably over the weekend), I'll send it to you via PM in the SH.

Hey Newf... Did you get a hold of our friendly Jedi yet? Or did they threaten you with their light sabers?

We don't threaten no one

Reminds me of a recent joke I heard south of your border about President Bushc. It seems that the Pope was visting Bush on the Presidential Yaught. The wind blew his hat into the Potomac. Pres Bush jumped over the side and walked on the water to pick up his hat. The headlines in the Washington Post (most liberal newspaper in U.S.) the next morning: President can't Swim
