I don't think I have ever built a corvette... I hardly ever build a ship before Dreadnaught |
|
hehe, I am the other way. I rarely get to dreadnaught because I use frigates and starfighters. Mostly frigates though.
If my Hero is lucky enough to get a corvette close to the begining of the game I will usually use it to start attacking one or 2 AIs (minor and a major) that are close to each other and one of my worlds.
When they sue for peace I can usually get lots of credits and tech. This will usually finish them off allowing me to invade. If I am really lucky the Major will surrender to me.
Even when the AI has dreadnaughts I still am fighting with Frigates.
I feel that they are the best bang for your buck because I can research upgrade techs such as +10 attack and defense and other techs such as ground based bonuses as required quicker than research battleship and then dreadnaught.
Managing your damaged ships to get experience points also helps quite a bit. The attack bonus can quickly grow to the next ship level (experienced frigate = base battleship)
Throw in a military resource and upgrade that there is a huge advantage added to the attack and defence of your ships.
I find these military games much more enjoyable than the culture type games.

Hey the galactic guardian empire just split.
They are now Guardians of Doom Empire (position 8)and the Galatic Guardians Empire (still position 1).
This knocked us down to 9th position.

Paguma,
A change might just do the trick! And if it doesn't work out, you can always switch back to the CSF.

|
|
Paguma, quick question. Is your little calculator offline? Peace has told me to how to make my own, but I see yours isn't working. Did you kill it, or did it kill itself?
| |
|
|
No, I just tried it again, and it isn't working.
