Might as well take Top 'o the Page, while I'm here.

Sure have another, they are always cold in the crypt. Just remember, the snack free time zone expired. If you pass out you may wake up to Damoose chewing on your leg, just don't blame me or the beer!

Thanks for heads up. Maybe a cup of tea to keep me awake, if you please.

Hummm... Now that you mention it. May it should just be...

SNACKS!

Q: What's the difference between a Liberal and a catfish?
A: One is an ugly, scum sucking bottom-feeder and the other is a fish.

Did you hear the latest polls. If you believe them, the Conservatives are 10 points ahead of the Liberals in Ontario.

If that's true, and combined with the disintegration of the Liberals in Quebec, and the decline Liberals in BC, well, we might just have the end of Liberal rule in Canada.

#3284  by Citizen Evil Druid - 6/9/2004 3:42:30 PM

and the decline Liberals in BC

Decline. They only one 3 seats here last time. They'l be lucky to match that again.

Which Canada will you choose?

Yah, Mr Martin I want the Canada with the goverment that gives away billions to friends and insiders. The one that lets our soliders run around in ancient dangerous equipment but buys 100 milion dollar luxury jets for the Prime Minsiter to ride around in. You bet Mr. Martin thats the Canada I choose too.

They were ahead in the polls a few months ago.

Scary is it not. I have complete faith that we will vote correctly when it counts. We have not voted Liberal out here since Trudeau's hay day. Thats got to be over 20 years. I have never voted Liberal or in my life.

This is sort of cool: http://www.politicswatch.com/VoteSelectorQuiz2004.html Link

Although there is something fishy about it. It claims to use your answers to various political opinions to determine which leader best represents your views. The problem is, I got a 100% match with Paul Martin even though several of my answers were completely contrary to the Liberal platform. I did get an 81% with Stephen Harper. No surprise to me, NDP was last.

#3288  by Citizen Evil Druid - 6/9/2004 5:43:44 PM

100% Harper for me. 50% Martin 30% Layton.

even though several of my answers were completely contrary to the Liberal platform

Makes sense, the liberals never carry out there platform any way so maybe the surveyor has some inside information. Remember the Red Book. Scrap the GST ect.

I here they have a new red book for this election. You think they would come up with a new marketing strategy. Calling it the Red Book again will just remind us of all their lies last time.

Stephen Harper Leader of the Conservative Party of Canada (score = 100)

Paul Martin Leader of Liberal Party of Canada, Prime Minister of Canada (score = 39)

The quiz must be broken 39 for liberals is too high

#3290  by Citizen NewfyScotian - 6/9/2004 11:24:15 PM

I got,
NDP for 100 (how did this happen? I would never go with these morons)
conservatives for 92
liberal for 54 (too high for the bloc)
Bloc 46

I would not vote the NDP. Conservatives are my choice this time. I might even put the bloc ahead of the liberals.

The problem I have is, I really do not trust any of them to do the job.

NDP for 100 (how did this happen? I would never go with these morons)conservatives for 92

You would figure that would be impossible. They are completely oposite on so many issues

#3292  by Diplomat Technician - 6/10/2004 7:04:12 AM

The wise citizens of Ontario actually voted in the NDP.

Personally I do not see much difference between NDP and Liberals.

Maybe we would be lucky a the votes would split allowing the Conservatives to come up the middle.

After all that is exactly what happened when the Reform and Conservatives were running in the same riding.

For example,

Liberals 30%
Consevatives 25%
Reform 20%
NDP 14%
Others 5%

Hummm... Politics or snacks? Politics or snacks? Politics or snacks?

....

I think I'll stick with snacks. I mean after it doesn't really matter now does it? All politicians taste like... well you get the idea.

And that boys and girls is my political commentary for this federal election.

Damoose as you know, there is no nutritional value in politicians. They are fluffy and full of hot air.

That is just weird. They're supposed to be opposite ends of the spectrum.

#3297  by Citizen Paguma - 6/10/2004 10:56:20 AM

Hey, the latest poll shows the Conservatives at 37%. That's higher than the Liberal support when they won their last majority government.

The Liberals are so desperate they're about to unleash an all out attack on Harper's Conservatives to try to scare Canadians away from him. I suspect this is going to backfire on them. It just stinks of desperation.

#3298  by Citizen Evil Druid - 6/10/2004 2:10:05 PM

Why should we be afraid of free votes? Our MP actualy gets to vote his constituants wishes. Very scary. Next thing you'll know Canadains will actually want a democracy.
