Good news for people who were using my Servlet to calculate their scores.

I finally got some time to look at it again, and I think I found the annoying bug that had it crashing before and giving bogus info. For some reason it became so frequent that I just took it offline awhile back.

I've been playing around with it for the last little while and I have not seen it fail since I made my changes. My web server is currently offline but I'll put it back up tonight and repost the Servlet soon.

It should be up by tomorrow, I'll post another message here with the link when it is back.

Doom in 6 days

I can't wait!

My galciv play will suffer about 6 days after Doom 3 is released. I have been planning my computer upgrade for sometime and Doom 3 is the reason.

When the original doom came out our programming department talked the boss into letting us set up a network to share work/files between everyone ... yah right ...
Once we had it up ... took 2 days to get 10 people setup. We stayed after hours and played Doom. The problem was it was a small company and soon it was the worst kept secret in the company. After hours there would be about 30 people all trying to get access to play 4 person doom.

Those were the days!!!

Halutians are hermaphrodite and only have offspring when their own dead come close. But their normal lifespan is about 3000 years.

Hmmm. If I understand this correctly, they only mate when they are about to die? If that's so, why would you want to live 3000 years?

GH, have you not practiced your reproduction skills without reproducing?

Paguma, do you manage to get your score (or tehcnician's one) correctly with your servlet?

give or take 100 points usually. The formula is not perfect because it's not published and there are some rounding issues too. It's very close though.

Something unhealthy made even more unhealthy? It must be good.

I think I'll stay away from the beer though, don't want to be snacked upon.

Could you post the formula you use, because I have problem with your score and technicians's one?
It would be nice if, for theses two scores, I have the score per block, in order to hunt where bugs are in my spreadsheet.

Takodoe... No worries. We'll still be here. Drive safely.

I'll see if I can round up the SA boys for a party when you return.
