Just in case Da Moose missed the quote

I did not miss it. Remember snacks are a renewable resource. So of course we take it easy.

The definition of easy is some what loose though.

Let the SA meeting begin. Newfy a couple of your finest for LW and myself. I think were in for a long session as we try to get to the bottom of LW's repressed memories.

Something keeps drawing him to the crypt and we cannot figure it out. Here's your beer LW.

See a corelation here?

Could you post the formula you use, because I have problem with your score and technicians's one?It would be nice if, for theses two scores, I have the score per block, in order to hunt where bugs are in my spreadsheet.

My formular looks off too.

However the servlet is back up:

Actually my servlet is pretty close for Technician. It's off by 40K or so for me. Interesting since my Metaverse score dropped by 40K overnight last night the same direction...

I think the metaverse may have re-scored my score based on today, whereas my servlet only does it based on your last submission. I could fix that.

Do I hear crickets? Or is that all the Canadians taking off early for the long weekend. The oh, so meaningful "Civic Holiday".

Congrats Newfy on 200 games!

There's not many players with 200 or more games.

Kind of weird to sticky it because it's an unofficial formula. If they would release the real formula, that would be very cool!

If someone who knows HTML wants to make either the result, or the information page prettier I'll gladly update the servlet to use it.

Thanks AW. Its been a long stretch. I like the game so I will keep playing. My submission rate will drop though once Doom 3 comes out.

Hey Damoose, I just noticed that your score is starting to drop.

It doesn't seem fair that this is happening when people who have been away longer do not suffer metaverse aging.

Hey guys... took the day off work and have been very busy so this is my first chance to drop in.

Have a great long weekend CSFers.

And as for my score... well I'm not really all that attached to it. So it doesn't really bother me. Don't get me wrong... It's cool and all that, but seeing as I chose to submit my scores, that means I have to live with the rules... even when the rules aren't published in detail.

Oh... well... I'm more interested in game mechanics anyway.

And just in case anyone is wondering... It's supper time here and I'm hungry... Weyr... oh Weyr... where are you? LUNCH!

Newf... 200 games...

Paguma, there is something minor wrong with the first 6 months at least, I assume in the rounding area. My score is off my a mere 2 points.

Ok, I found the problem with Technician score:
- I forgot that the last block contians all games aged from 291 days and more
- The reference for my dynamic table was too small and forgot 80 games with Technician.

With this correct I get Tech score at 600 Mpts near the official score (2 369 723 when the official is 1 369 111 and you get 2 369 606)

And I found a strange thing about Tech score and our two calculations: for me, the game on the 03/30/04 is aged of 121 days when compared to the 07/30/04, but for you, it is aged of 120 days.

I think the metaverse may have re-scored my score based on today, whereas my servlet only does it based on your last submission. I could fix that.

I obtain the same thing for ypu score: if the score is calculated on the 07/30/04, the value make sense.

Weyr looks around the corner. Carefully scanning the room to make sure it is empty and the party is over. Sensing that everything is ok, just a few passed out Guardians over in the corner, a couple of SA members doing their buddy thing. Weyr enters the room with his new invention, still unnamed. This new Halutian miniture clone, genetically manipulated to focus on only one thing - the rear hindquarters of an undead moose. It is indestructable and design to inflict significant damage to the undead rear hindquarters. It is so novel, this particular model has been programed to stand on a table - it is only about 3 feet tall - looking like a real-life Halution statue. A card has been attached with the inscription, "damoose, please accecpt this gift as an appreciation for all you help in hosting the SA meetings" Damoose will hopefully look at this, think kind things about those SA Guardians, turn to leave, and then - wham, a chunk of rear hindquarters disappears.

What, no party in progress

#3896  by Citizen Weyrleader - 7/31/2004 7:59:14 AM

Must be Saturday after a late Friday night of partying. Maybe damoose hasn't recovered from the miniture Halution chomp into his hindquarters
