Anyone know if Paguma's calculator will be up again anytime soon, or is it toast? I hope it's just temporary, 'cause I really liked it!
I finally got around to buying a new computer... My wife only lets me keep three. So my new computer becomes my game computer. My old game computer becomes my jukebox, and my old jukebox becomes my web server...
Now you can imagine, backing up, installing and restoring three computers can take awhile.
I just got around to my web server tonight. Although I did not re-install the galciv servlet yet. As you will notice there is a page there asking for feedback to see how many people were still using it.
Paguma there are many that really like your servlet/applet/whatever its called. Would you consider sending it to MACE and have MACE add it to the diplomats-empire web site?
Confirm that he can run servlets from there. I could probably clean it up that it wouldn't be totally embarrassing to release. It's certainly not my best work.
I suggest email as he's not here often.
Yes, and I'll be here even less until GC2...

I take it from your statement you are retired now until GC2?
More or less. I've not made a decision to not play. I just haven't been interested in playing in quite some time. A look at my profile will certainly reflect that.
It amazes me that people can play this game 3-4 times a day and not get tired of it. It's good, even very good, but get a life people!
Seriously though, there is no game that could have me glued to my computer 3-5 hours every day for years... I played GalCiv way more than most, but I'm just not that interested in it right now.
Right now it's java code, that will contact the Metaverse over HTTP (like your browser), and programatically parse your scores as if you were looking at your own profile.
If you know how to do that yourself, you don't need my code. After you can do that, it's just a matter of applying Alex's scoring formula.
Not sure if you can make HTTP calls in PHP. If you can't, you're dead before you start.
