I got a question for you if you play Evil do you start the Aliens with Good or Evil Alignment. |
|
I start the 5 original races with their original alignments. I don't know what alignment the new two races are "supposed" to be, so I put the Drath and Chaotic Evil, and the Korx or whatever they are called as Neutral.
Anyway, submitted. That game was a true military conquest, from start to finish.
First I took my my closest neighbor, the Scottlingers with 3 planets. Then I moved the the closest major race, the Drath. By now the Korx had fallen to the Altarian/Torian alliance, and I put just about the rest of the galaxy against that alliance to slow them down. It wasn't working, they had destroyed the militaries of all the other races. While I still had races alive to help me I declared war on the Altarians myself, and kept offering the TOrians a peace treaty when they tried to join to help their allies. That bug is still there because they kep taking it. Not that it mattered, they were too far away to really hurt me anyway. The Altarians had a massive military but not many planets, and their military was scattered over the entire map. I was able to take all his planets before he could retrieve them to fight me.
I then turned on the Arceans who had the next most planets, but no mlitary since they were being pounded by the Torians and previously Altarians. I mopped up all but 3 of their planets, and then declared war on the Torians who were annoying me. I finished off the Torians, then came back for the last few Arcean planets. That left the Drengin in the top left, and the Yor in the bottom right, my evil brothers!
Since 7/10 of my trade routes were in the Yor at this point, I decided to attack the more powerful Drengin first. It was just a matter of waiting for the combat transports because his military could not hurt me. It didn't last long.
I then moved towards the Yor, but for some reason he never rebuilt his military, his 3 planets had no defenses, and my soldiers were about 5-6 times better, so it was really easy.
Anyway, that was my first true military victory on Masochistic without any culture crap to weaken them first. Went very smoothly actually.

9 out 10 games I would like to say to them sure thing and watch my combat transports invade your systems. |
|
I get irritated by the Torians and their bouncing ball crap too. "Watch as I bounce this here TS off your planet!"

Paguma, I noticed the races post. In the editor, it lists both of the new races as Pure Evil, but I like the Korx as Pure Good because it keeps a balance.
