I tried the highlight and "Q" but I always got an error asking if I wanted to debug, so I used the old methhod. I will try your second method and see if that works.

So I finally got to the SG and read your first 2 years.

I think Bam Bam's comments were spot on for the first year. With the only point (as he mentioned) of should you or should you not colonize the 2nd planet in Earth's system early. (By the way... this is something I just learned in this SG game as well.

)

You are in about the same position at the end of year 2 colony wise as the others, however you pop and morale are not as good as they could be, meaning the you are behind in the mil/pop/tech power curve when compared to the AI. They are still there even if you haven't met them yet. And don't worry you will.

I noticed that you were concerned about starting your first tech push 16/18 months in to the game... This is good. One of the hardest things for me to learn on higher difficulties was that I didn't have any time (room) to let things slide. I needed to do the colony rush/tech rush/social rush one right after another... and the tech rush must be started early. No later that 20 months in to the game in most cases. A turn or two on eith side of optimum (16/18 months) is ok but miss it by two turns and life becomes very difficult. It should be noted that this is playing a large/huge maps. Smaller maps mean faster and larger mean a little slower I think.

I like the detail in your reports. If I may request... at the end of your turn... a pic of the POP graph and later the military graph would help me a lot. I'm a picture kinda guy and it makes it easier for me to get an overall understanding of what's going on.

And I hope to get more detail on SiBCaT. I've read it before, but there are too many assumptions made about the reader's knowledge so I didn't really 'get it'.

For example, just the comment that research is calculated per planet... I kinda knew that, but did you see the light bulb come ove my head.

Anyway... good turns so far. I look forward to reading the rest.

Whoa, just started a game. My home sector has 4 yellow systems, including 1 with 2 class 15+ planets.

If I lose this one, I suck.
