Would not be understood by target audience, hence deleted. Would also upset some people.

This thread is probably too heavy, let's get back to talking about aliens

Aliens are good

Glad somebody likes the CSF zombies,
I do not have much out the web maybe I will do some work on it Tomorrow.

I guess by checking the time latter today

Got slapped silly by Aliens all night tonight.

I wonder what happened in the Ottawa vs Toronto game yesterday

Canada is a much more laid back country.

Sometimes too laid back. It's hard to imagine any issue that we can all get excited about AND agree on.

Hockey? Beer? Drinking beer while playing hockey?

Drinking beer while playing hockey

No, no, no. It's drinking beer while watching hockey. Or drinking beer while curling. You get hit with one of those stones and you need the beer to take your mind off the pain. And those d&am hoecky sticks can hurt too.

Don't know but Ottawa got 'slapped' silly by Toronto.

Wombie... That was phreakin' funny.

I do take exception to the 'short' Canadians reference though.

That was something to behold. I've never seen people trying to play professional hockey and running down the halls to the bathroom during the game! 3-4 of the players were playing with the flu, that obviously shouldn't have been.

Oh well...

Paguma, a bit character of course, should be played by Don McKellar. A little known Canadian actor. It just seems appropriate.

Yeah, that one was my 4th try. I hardly ever lose anymore, but I lost 3 in a row. Well, I didn't lose, I stopped playing because the aliens were starting wars I didn't have much hope of surviving...

I really find Huge games a lot easier to complete. Gigantic just take too long for ships to cross the map, and my computer slows to a crawl when massive fleets start moving around.

#136  by Diplomat Technician - 2/8/2004 8:58:21 AM

The difference between hugh and gigantic does not seem to make much of a difference in points.

It has been my style of game play to avoid wars so I do not have alot of ships slowing down late games.

When I get tired of my Aliance wins maybe I will try a game or two on a hugh map.

Except the fleets I'm talking about are constructors, or usually anyway. If you have 50+ planets spitting one out every 2 years, it doesn't take long to clog up all of space!

#139  by Diplomat Technician - 2/8/2004 1:24:08 PM

How do you get 50+ Planets ?

If I am lucky Earth is class 21 and unlike the Evil Alien scum in my galaxy I rarely get a planet improvement event.

You know we really should try to recruit new blood.

We do not have enough active CSF players and many of them never contributed anything to Metaverse.

Really Boss are you running any mods ?

By the way you are cranking out constructors one would think you were doing chessy Alpha Strike.

Last game I played, I surrounded aTorian sector with 15 Party Place star bases you think they would flip but I did not even see the Scull.

The sector specs the influence by humanity was 3600 and the Torian influence was 1200.

Yet in a sector where I have influence of say 1000 and and Alien race has influence of say 1100. I get the stupid warning planet X thinks Alien race Y is so much cooler than humanity and if I do nothing my planet flips.

Ever see such double standard ?

Just a question? Where all the party palace in the same sector? Because there are some funny calculations with influence starbase:
If I have 2 fully developped party palace (+343%) in the same sector, and X influence before taking in account the starbases, I have X*4.43*4.43 after taking in account the starbase instead of X*7.43. So the bonus multiply instead of add. The base for the bonus isn't the influence before the starbase, but the influence after the previous starbase has been taken in account. So you could have nasty influence (in millions points) with 6 fully developped party palace .
And put the starbase in an adjacent sector to the AI, so it won't see it as a casus belli .
And the penalty for adajacent sector is only having the influence divided by 5. Not a problem when you have multiplied an influence by 4.43*4.43*4.43*4.43*4.43*4.43
