You'd think it's as least be some sort of sliding scale where you get more points the longer it takes, as opposed to just doubling at a set date.

Plus, personally it usually means you did an even better job if you win faster!

Well I decided to go back last night and try out Tech's solution and voila

42000 -> 84000 Woohoo! it worked.....

unfortunately I woke up and realized it was a dream. Funny thing was this solution had been coined as Technicians Infamously Magical Bonus Increase Technique or TIMBIT for short... I must be drinking too much Tim Horton's coffee I guess.
