Newf... Good keep man.

So I finally got my current game under control. Had to go back to the mid game and replay. I'd let the thriced d&mned Drengin surrender to the Yor. So I had to go back and make them bow to the Power of the Canadian Star Federation. Bunch of pansies, invade one planet and they shut down the death furnaces and fell all over them selves trying to surreder to me. Well... actually I said 'Join the CSF or die!' Guess that got thier attention.

Now I have the Knox and the Yor to deal with. Where are the G-men when you need them? I'm sure the Greldon, Loth and Mag could give some excellent tips for providing Tech with some scrap Yor parts.

I bought up all the influence resources and got some of the mid-game influence wonders. They've started to defect due the CSF's more advance culture. I mean how much culture can a machine have? And don't get me started on the potato heads with no eyes...

Hey, I just noticed that I got promoted to Admiral yesterday!

Now maybe someday the game difficulty icon may change ... not going to hold my breath though

It is they just seem stronger than they should be.

Absolutely. I have not played a game in AP that they are not one of top 2 races in it.

#2206  by Citizen damoose - 4/22/2004 9:00:25 AM

Hummm... For me they are mid pack. I usually have problems with the evil races. So... it's random depending on starting postion would be my guess. I haven't had any Torian suhi lately. THey always seem to be gobbled up by one of the other AIs.

I am still around, but swamped in RL with work.

On a side note, this will be one of the few times that I will root for TO to beat Philly. Of course the Habs have to do their part, but it would certainly be sweet to see a Leafs - Habs semi-final, then maybe that way when the Habs beat the Leafs, our Empire logo can be that of Les Canadiens.

I think they are the secret Yor masters

Could be thats why they have all the implants?

The original bet was Toronto while they were still alive, and then the logo of the last Canadian team standings. If you're pulling out on the Toronto bet, we can just jump to phase 2 right away. We switch our logo to the first Canadian team to advance, if any do!

Good morning, Canadians!
I think they are the secret Yor masters

I have the most trouble with the Yor, Torians, and Drengin. Altarians and Arceans don't seem all that tough, and hardly ever have a problem with new races, Drath and Knox.

Hey Kaz....

Really depends on galaxy size and starting position I think. I play large and with AP 2 of the 7 races always get shut out of the planet rush... 1 or 2 while the rest of the AIs and I end up with much more. They end up much like minors. I bet on giga this is not true as often. Tech... what's your experince here?

#2216  by Diplomat Technician - 4/22/2004 1:51:54 PM

I play Gigantic often one or two races get cornered.

It seems to happen no matter what the size. More often than not, races tend to start close together (in my experience). Very odd, especially in the gigantic maps! You'd think there would be some sort of intelligence to evenly space out all the major races. The problem with that theory would be that often the stars aren't evenly distributed though.

You will be temporarily losing me tomorrow. I will be rejoining my old team the ANZACs as well. I will come back though, just a like the stink from a cooler of cod left out in the sun for 2 days.

Ok, Ok, I must know ... what do you mean by RL ? I have seen you use that and another acronym in a previous post. I think my head must be quite dense as I don't understand.

Someone needs a new hobby

Would that involve lots of heavy drinking and bad behaviour by any chance?

#2223  by Diplomat Technician - 4/22/2004 11:38:32 PM

Snacks
