I voluntarily put myself into a boot camp type thingy with a load of mates - we all wanted the oppurtunity to train for our sports - cheap way to do it you get your meals and stuff and hard physical labour all day YAHOOOOOO!!!!!

You do too! I just downloaded the latest 1.19 and have a game going. I will be checking in this weekend.

Actually old folk song re-jigged (sic) by the two you mention!

Another round for all the partrons of this fine establishment....on me!

That's one way to get my attention. But it looks like I got here after the bar wound down a bit. No matter. There's always plenty of barrels down in the cellar, and it's been a while since I took the escape tunnel out. (Ancient history there, old story.)

Hi ringers. I am still playing 1.11 because . . . it works without bugs. Because of my "bugophobia", I am waiting for 1.2 - not 1.19

Can anyone who has played with logistics explain it to me? In the one post I saw, it sounds like the first starbase is free, the second is 200 bc and the price after that keeps doubling for each starbase (400, 800, etc.) Is that correct? Is that for starbases on resources and free standing starbases too? Thanks.

Looks like we are about a week away from 1.2 if all goes well.

It's 0,200,400,600,800,1000... It applies to all new starbases. Money becomes far more important if you're trying to win through culture or terror stats.
I'm having trouble loading my saved games so I think it may be wise not to upgrade yet.

Terl is loading the last of his things into his ship. It has been far too quiet here and Terl needs activity, a challenge. He resigned his posts in the FoTRCTF and MENSA, had a couple pans of kerbango, and went to the Pony. Noone was around. Terl is leaving with sadness, for he shall miss his friends, though most do not visit these halls.

Terl waves a goodbye, enters his ship, and closes the ramp behind. Off to Raven's Claw he thought to himself.

Nahh, you can pass Wombie! He's probably pretty nervous right now!

Moi? I rather think you overestimate - oh, wait, that's another empire...well, I've seen these fast playing punks come and go, and eventually they - oh, wait, that's not it either....aw hell - great playing Greldon!

I'm back from Melbourne.. need to submit a game or two

#395  by Citizen Wild Wombat - 2/15/2004 5:20:29 AM

Oh yeah - note to ric: I must say I feel as you do, but have found 1.12 rock solid. Rare CTD's, but otherwise pretty good. I didn't upgrade to 1.13 because the UP voting think caused a CTD, rather than just the same vote all the time. Yes, I know there's a fix - but I wanted a proper fix, not shifting files etc. Still waiting on the vibe re 1.19 and bugs before I jump...

It's a bit worrying if people are leaving this empire because there's no-one to talk to... How many of our 87 members are still active, I wonder?

1.19 seems basically stable. It's also harder than before.

Yikes! We just lost Greldon! We really must reinstate our policy of hunting traitors down and murdering them in cold blood.

Like Terl, I too seek more activity and challenge. I've enjoyed my time with the Fellowship but feel I must now move on.

Thanks to all and happy gaming!
