Darn Romans. Pick off a few provinces, becomes a mighty empire, and then next thing you know the emperors start thinking they are living gods. Scary. Well, I don't see our resident legionnaire slowing down to smell the roses. Maybe we can head him off at the pass on March 15th?

Curses! That Downie fellow may be on to something...must ...not...think...about...other...games....

must...think...about...other...games...

Did you know Master of Orion 1 can now be downloaded for free, probably legally?

And have you voted in the Gamespy qualifying rounds for the greatest game of all time?
http://www.gamespy.com/titlefightqualifying/ Link
What's happening is they're voting for the greatest Sid Meier game of all time, the greatest Quake game of all time, the greatest Warcraft game of all time, and so on, and the winners of each subcategory will meet in the final. Doesn't that just make you want to get out your old games and try them again? And which was really better: Civ2 or Civ3?

Memo: Must put these distracting hints on someone else's forum, where my allies won't read them.
If I still have any allies.

Depends. Do you want the old one that assumes you can build unlimited terror stars even if you have no money? Or the new, updated one that has never been written and may never be written?

The old one. I have not updated yet the new version. Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!! ( here goes the face of the pleading player with big round eyes)

#611  by Citizen Matthew Downie - 2/23/2004 9:49:01 AM

Well, as long as they're round eyes. I hate all people whose eyes are other shapes, and punish them by denying them help with computer games.
It's on its way. Note that my extremely comprehensive play guide has been applied successfully by others precisely zero times.
And no forwarding it to our enemies for them to laugh at!

Got it and accepted. No sending info to enemies or possible enemies.

Thanks. 350,000 Torians dancing girls are on your way.

Isn't it a bit excessive?

#615  by Citizen Matthew Downie - 2/23/2004 10:07:01 AM

Yeah, I can rarely handle more than 30,000 or so at a time.

Ah, a cargo vessel. That'll be them now. I'll just check that they're all accounted for...
What's this docket?

Contents: 350,000 Torian dancing girls, minus
65,000 that were stolen by space pirates
75,000 that were stolen by space bandits, space highwaymen, spage muggers, space burglars, space pickpockets, and space shoplifters
85,000 that were swallowed up by taxes
124,999 that were swallowed up by Drengin crewmen

Ah, well. Easy come, easy go.

The only remaining dancing girl is one who was rejected by all the aforementioned people, on account of her unappealing skin condition. Her name is Mavis, and she's appearing at the Prancing Pony every night until Thursday.

Mayito: For future reference, mark your freighters with yellow and the pirates will leave them alone!
