Thank you Matthew. Now for all the good morality fans, there is a method to get that pale and deliriously happy looking face

I explained this on a strategy post but more recently I like to take the evil choices on colonization to get some good PQ, morale, or production. Once I get evil enough to get the +1 trade tech, I go chaotic good enough to get the +1 trade tech. Those random money moral events are nice when they pop up. What'a a few hundred bc to stay good enough to not worry about the fundamentalists and maybe get that extra trade route.

When staying roughly neutral the extortion rates seem less frequent and pretty reasonable too (in the hundreds of bc and not demanding planets). People have been doing this for months because the planet bonues and +2 trade routes are sweet to make the extra bc so one can rule the galaxy.

But then again, as long as I win, I am happy with a neutral or blue face.

I hadn't been to the statbot for a while. It is quite cool. Here is a link http://idle.thehueys.com/midwest/statbot/ Link

Have fun

I've been checking that regularly to keep an eye on my morality. I'm not sure of the exact Pure Good dividing point, but I think I'm nearly there.

Indeed you must be close! You're 1.4 and I think the dividing point is 1.38 (or 1.36) .
(littlewotts has the Pure good smiley. I think when he posted he noticed the change that was his "morality".

WELL THE DAY HAS COME

I have put aside the bottle & the sheep:D . Yet I know longer feel content with all this goodness in the "Masoverse", so I have left the to enbrace the darkness as the "Democracy of One"

Greetings. So when we start a game tomorrow we can add that to the Ring of Diplomatic Guardians total for the Clone Wars right?

OK. I think I will rest tonight and watch a movie. I just saw Lawrence of Arabia Friday night. What a great movie!!! What will I watch tonight? Hmmm . . .

Good luck everyone.

That's a great movie indeed! I am about to start reading "The seven Pillars of wisdom" because of it (as soon as I have a few hours to read it, everyday and for a while...). And in english!

Is there anything that need to be done, or is it automatic?
Does this concern everyone in the empires involved or just some of the players in each empire? (I haven't had the time to follow all that was going on in the forum this past 10 days. Too much work to do at work...

I'm not sure of the exact Pure Good dividing point, but I think I'm nearly there.

My latest attempt (second one) at maso drove me a further away from it again (instead of the contrary): I lost so fast that I was still "neutral" (the Yor invaded me, someone fired a EMP at them, but it seems that he was a bit too impacient and that only disabled the planet's defenses and then the Yor had no trouble "dismantling" my soldiers. Then they could concentrate on Sol, that fell a few months later -- just the time for them to make the trip from one to the other actually )

The third attempt is going well, since after a very difficult start I had a +13PQ event on sol, making all the planets there habitable and between 17 and 27PQ. So I have a lot of good planets, and the population circle of Sol in the minimap covers 9 sectors! -- unfortunatelly I don't know how to make a screenshot, I'd like to remember this one!

Nothing special to look for, it all works automatical

don't know how to make a screenshot

Try pressing the Print Screen key (or PrtScn or whatever you have), then loading some art software like Paint Shop Pro and selecting Paste?

Anyone in any of the empires involved. Any game you submit is automatically added to the total alliance score. See http://idle.thehueys.com/midwest/clonewar/ Link for the current scoring. I just submitted a game that added 60K to our score and which finally earned me a Very Good smiley. What a merry face!
Hmm... Actually, I'm not sure it's really me. I am not a merry man.
Maybe I should join the dark side and work on earning a neutral face.

Congrats !
As I said in my previous post, I'm a bit further away now .

Since it starts today, I'll try not submitting any more losses . Hopefully I'll win my first maso this evening (and without terror stars, banned from galaxy since first UP meeting).

That runs out after a while. You will probably be able to build them later. It really is not as "forever" as it says.

...and you can always leave the UP and free yourself of their rules.

I think the Clone War score is based on the total score of all your games submitted this month added together. Submitting defeats will actually help us there. (But will probably harm your personal metaverse score.)

Thank you, yes, I'd like to dedicate these awards to Pete Jackson, and Ray the Wanderer, and Tolkien, and my mother, and above all, myself. (tear rolls down cheek...) These awards are a tribute to the amazing amount of hard work put in by the Fellowship, and more specifically by me... (sniff...) And, I know politcal statements aren't often considered appropriate at a time like this, but at a time when our governments' motivations are coming under question, I'd just like to say, on the subject of war: Let's have more wars!

I was thinking more of the troops' moral: it wouldn't be very good for them to hear that they're winning the war, with 214 defeats!
I try to submit everything I get, except if I lose in the 10-20 first turns. Last one was about 10 years after the start. Don't know why but that was the first time I managed to be attacked by eveyone! A bunch of Yor-lovers! After the Yor initial attack, they all came, one after another, telling me that I was putting their economy at risk because of my war against the Yor (actually their war against me!), thus they were joining with him against me!

That runs out after a while. You will probably be able to build them later. It really is not as "forever" as it says.

Hi Terl! It's been a long time!
I actaully was waiting for the ban to be lifted, or the same proposal come up again. I even had about 30 constructors awaiting, but finally I just build 20 combat transports and went for a final assault. Almost done by now! And as soos as my troops commander in chief is allowed to leave work (talk about super power...), they'll be history

That is the way I've been doing it lately. I just get a nice invasion fleet together and take them out. More personal face to face. Of course my troops thoroughly enjoy trouncing the Yor.

Hey, Terl and Nastavnik!

Love to hear you guys are enjoying invasion. It's my favorite part of the game. Got another great screenshot of the notice that the Yor were gone, I'll have to post it when I get home!

Hi Theoden.

Well, liberation time. I'm out of here (I mean, work).

"Battle Stations, All Hands, prepare for invasion!"

(hopefully this will be my first maso vic! -- I'll know in a few hours!)

See you later

Hmph. Not enough posts on this thread. I think we need more topics of conversation.

So, anyone played any good games recently? Anyone got any stories to tell about interesting things that have happened within those games?

Seen any good films lately?

Anyone want to challenge me to write a poem with the subject and style of their choice?

Anyone got any ideas for playing GalCiv differently that would make the game more interesting for those of us who've played it too much and find it too easy?

Is anyone troubled by a question that has baffled mankind for aeons, which I could spend five minutes trying to solve?

An idea: game update petition. Since time is running out for the planned free update of GalCiv, maybe we should get together and decide what improvements we really want, agree on it, and then send it to the relevant people. Rules: Only important changes that would be easy to implement.
