Interesting that I am not. 11150 for a Medium Challenging Miltary and I am not on the first one.

Not really - newfyscotian has 16380 for medium challenging.

Since this seems to be the movie page:
“Just when you thought it was safe to be attacked by zombies...”
I saw Shaun of the Dead this afternoon (not available for a while in the US), after it got pretty good reviews. What the critics didn’t say was just how horrifying a horror film it was; they focused on the comedy aspects. It wasn’t all that funny. Not funny enough to make the jokes more memorable than, say, the sight of a man having his intestines ripped out by zombies. Even when I wasn't being distracted from the humour by violence, I was being distracted from the humour by a sense of imminent doom. I think the critics must have got desensitised from watching blood-splattered films like Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Passion of The Christ.
A typical modern American horror film is full of annoying teenagers who you can’t wait to see stabbed. Here, I didn’t want ANY of the characters to die. They seemed too ordinary, characters from mildly quirky British sitcoms. This didn't stop them from dying.
Overall, mildly traumatising; I don’t think I’ll ever again be able to run into a horde of zombies without breaking into a cold sweat. Recommended if you like horror - by most accounts, it's better than the recent Dawn of the Dead Remake.
Will play GalCiv again once I've completed Planescape: Torment.

It's new to me. I saw it for sale for two pounds. I was already a fan of the Baldur's Gate games. I like the way you can play it for hours without getting into a single fight, just talking to people and trying to solve their problems. As far as possible, I made the same choices I would in real life. According to the game, this makes me Neutral Good. Lots of odd features, like the way there are no shops selling armour or missile weapons. It's a bit like those Japanese RPGs in the way that there's a preset team of heroes who you meet one by one. A weird bunch too; a floating skull, a burning man, a celibate succubus... I'm on to the last CD now so I must be nearly through.
Incidentally, I may have been a bit too negative about Shaun of the Dead. There are many good features I didn't mention - the use of music, the ending. It's just that I don't really like anything more grim and gruesome than, say, Buffy the Vampire Slayer (the show, not the character). See Link for an alternative review.

Things are going to be a little screwy in the empire rankings this weekend - should all return to normal once the ANZACS retirement party is over - though I don't know if SpecFor will recover.

Hello! Hello! Hello!
Greetings from Ray the Wanderer! Felt a certain tugging to read the Galciv forum today after 3 whole months of absence and indeed it does seem like my presence is required here (post #1226).
How's everybody?!
Been busy as you know with Star Chamber. Wombie told me today over at the SC world about Evil Steve and the ANZACs and I suddenly felt like playing a Galciv game too.
Downloaded the latest Galciv and AP patches just. Really eager to see what I've missed these few months.

The ANZACs disbanded...and a legend returns. Not a dull weekend, certainly. Welcome back, Ray - it's good to hear from you again.

Back to the purpose of this thread. All movie reviews, all the time.
I saw a good one tonight. Real sleeper. "Under Suspicion" with Gene Hackman and Morgan Freeman. I can't give much plot to this one or it will wreck it for you.
I watched the third Matrix as well.
Loved it.
There are fewer fights than the second (which bogged the story line of that one down considerably). The new characters we saw in 2 are actually finally developed here so you can actually empathize with em. Thankfully, there aren't any more orgy scenes either. It wraps up the trilogy quite nicely. A bit of cornball symbolism but fewer of those historical and biblical references than the first and second one that nobody but me seemed to get.
This one's kung-fu scenes aren't quite as cool as #2's were but overall the movie is better.
On a side note, I hated to have to get a bunch of cartoons as part of the story but the Animatrix filled in tons of gaps between 1 and 2.

Hello Ray! Long time no see! I think you'll find the latest build of AP is pretty good. And for a real challenge, try that crazy campaign! It's quite challenging!
Good to see you too, vincible! It'd be great to see the Fellowship make a run for the top again! Imagine, the Guardians, Fellowship, GROSS, Canadians and Jedi locked in a battle for first!

This would suppose that the lead between Guardians and others isn't very high

A month ago, we didn't quite have the lead yet. Things can change (although we will do what we can to prevent it... )

Well, 40% of your score rely on 2 people. But I know, at a time, there was a similar situation in the Special Forces with Jaws and Free Tibet

That is true, but we could lose either of them to another empire, any empire, and still be in 1st place - not that either of them are likely to leave (I hope).
Besides, there are others of us that are trying hard to catch up with them - it's just nigh on impossible.

My hat's off to both Greldon and Loth, make no mistake. But a month ago, they accounted for closer to 50 or 60 percent.
