Arrr! I watched PotC Friday night with the wife! Excellent movie, I must say! Very impressive all the way around. And the best part is it's a movie the whole family can sit down and watch...except for the wee little tots that might not understand that the skeletons aren't real!

All around good time!

After such a weekend Hegetaga is winless.... severe problems with GalCiv prevented any games from taking fruit after more than a few dozen turns. Now to reinstall the whole game and see what happens....

Thanks Bam Bam. Painful is alot of fun. It's the level you can fully get into the game without abusing the puter at diplomacy and trading. Probably the best level if you like more of a sim than an exploitation test.

Good morning guys

If your reinstall doesn't clear things up, Hege, you might want to contact Cari. I know it can be like pulling over to ask for direction (flying in the face of the nature of manhood ), but sometimes ya gotta swallow yer pride.

Cap'n and Kit:

Thanks for the thoughts--now all I need are a few more volunteers, and the game can begin.

Unfortunately for me bam bam, 1.2 became too heavy a program for my machine Dunno why but each version tends to run worse and worse on the low end systems.
Yes, thanks Bam Bam. Plus, I don't think you want maso players in the rotation. Although I do need to learn how to swap files, do all those print screens in pdf format and stuff.

I really love playing painful... er... loved playing painful...

As did I. But the masoverse is all about maso, which isn't maso any more.

Ugggh. I see two games I submitted from my end didn't actually end up in my score. Well I'll see if it clears up. if it doesn't, I'll just resubmit em. Gotta get some more gaming in tonight after work.

FIGHT ON!!!!

#871  by Citizen Bam_Bam - 3/8/2004 1:13:44 PM

Cap'n,

Shame about how the newer patches are running slow. I have seen some slowdown, but not too much. Besides, you and Kit are overqualified to be part of this training exercise . In any case, if you know of any of your folks who are looking to learn more about the game, I still have 2 or 3 slots open.

There will also be another succession game opening shortly--this one will likely be a maso with some interesting handicapping variant .

Thanks for the interest.

Gerakken must HAVE BEEN ABOARD!!!!

Oh, I hope they don't miss any of the little trinkets I was taking while I was dropping off the proper mood music for when they get overtaken.

But the masoverse is all about maso, which isn't maso any more.

Still two brave souls holding out in the top 50 by playing non-maso. That won't last much longer, though.

Quick personal update: more medical mayem hitting me hard now. Been absent from the forum lately because of it. That trend is likely to continue after I spend an hour or so catching up on things. Keep the ship in shape, Captain and I will look in when I can.
