Why don't ya two Roman Pirates come over and join us....

It would certainly disturb the Meta - GROSS would rise to the top like scum on water...

However, I think not at the moment.

stupid score aging

Better you than Us.

Except I can't figure out exactly who's scores aged in the Jedi. The other empires appear unaffected.

Nope. We didn't keelhaul him. We never keelhaul MEMBERS. Perhaps they are having a server problem??

I don't know what's going on.

Wouldn't surprise me - it's been like a set of whores' drawers here (down and up all the time) over here for the past few days....

However, I can't see why it would affect one person only...then again, the Jedi were apparently the only empire to be hit by aging....

An aspect of the metaverse appears to be that if you submit a game it not only ages your games as far as personal score and towards empire but also checks every other score within your empire and ages it based on the empire aging formula (10%)without aging the other members' personal scores.

I think the meta may be doing wierd things. There was another time when peeps fell out of empires and scores went haywire too. Same thing must be happening.

I think I'll wait till tomorrow to submit another game...

Renegade's game count has been doing wierd things too. Darn Meta.

Maybe the Guardians have "ripped a hole" in the metaverse with all those "Booms".

Odd. He's listed as an indy again--not part of G.R.O.S.S.

Looks like the recalc dropped Jaws' score a bit--long enought for Jaxom to enjoy 2nd for a minute before Lothmorg submits one of his two or three today.

BTW--Cap'n, are you or any of your 'mates interested in a "beyond-Maso" challenge game or series?

Well a bomb from the cap'n put us back in 8th. Soon as Renegade comes back, we'll be in 4th.

Interesting with Renegade. Have you gotten a message of any sort. It has also been a while without a post from him. Very un-Renegade.
Perhaps Bromoser is right, and there is a hole in the space-time fabric of the Meta.

Hey, whether it be 5th or 9th never underestimate the pirates. Renegade once before briefly left and rejoined this empire in a vain attempt to understand the ways of the Meta score aging system. Maybe this is just one of those experiments, and maybe it isn't. It is up to him to tell us one way or the other.

As one who has gazed deep into the mysteries of the Meta, I can admire the effort to try and understand the drop in battles and scores, but the easy explanation is that the old scores are literally dropping off the map. There are several old, but still active players whose old games are aging and falling off and numerous now inactive players from the old days suffering the same. Since most of the major empires are built on old player records, the degrades are inevitable and can cause some ripples as the aging happens. Only constant new activity can repair the damage. True, it might be better if the aging were constant and happened at a set rate all over the Meta and at no other time besides the set schedule (whatever that may be), but the primary trigger is definitely game submission that goes empire wide rather than just one player.

Never a small answer from the Great Spymaster. But it is always a good answer.

Hmm, now I am definitely a noob at trying to decipher the MV, but it would appear that Jaws' recalc happened exactly 30 days since his last submission. In other words, if you have 30 inactive days, all your scores drop into the next block and are aged appropriately.

What I don't know, is what happens to games beyond the 290 day block - do those drop off the meta completely, or do you always receive 65% of value for those games for your personal score?
