Yeah probably, I feel your pain right now, but it's more a case of Dagobah's finest leaving a serious walloping upon me.

Well, a beautiful spring/summer weekend day in Chicago with many BBQ's and libations might be a good reason. It was for me.

To everybody interested:

I'll soon, probably Wednesday, be able to test the first beta of Omega, anybody interested in helping me?

Here is the second chapter of "Exposition", Apologies for the delay but I went surfing for a few days its nice and sunny over here in England at the mo and I am doinf my best to make the most of it

Chapter 2 – Maelstrom

[Five Years Earlier - The Jedi council meets on board the SSD Sherbertia above the planet of Wardell IV]

Arcilte as senior council member called the meeting to order “My fellow Jedi, we have just received news of victories all along the front with the MWC, fleet command anticipates a complete victory within thirty days”. Expressions of joy began to light the faces of the assembled Jedi - the war was won! “Do we have news of casualties yet?” enquired Sherbert, anxious as to the fate of the fleet he had painstakingly built up over the past decade, “Lighter than we expected” began Arcilte “around three or four hundred ships, reports are still coming in so we will not know the full picture for a while”. Sherbert visibly relaxed in his chair, it could have been much, much worse, the MWC had been a formidable foe.

KEmperor looked at the datapad in front of him and saw a huge list of problems that would need the attention of a council member, many things that should have been dealt with a long time ago had been put on hold due to the war, energy shortages all over the republic, raw material shortages, supply problems of every kind for the fleet, rebellions in backwater systems, Jedi Knights going AWOL, border disputes with neighbouring empires, the return of pirates to the core systems to name a few. Nothing the Jedi hadn’t dealt with easily before. KEmperor looked more closely at one of the entries that had his name attached, a sect of religious nuts were raging a guerilla war on Orion, KEmperor smiled, that is where he would go, there would be lots of killing, KEmperor liked to kill.

“We’ve been at war for just over a year, cracks are beginning to show in the republic and the senate has asked for our help – they believe they are in danger of losing control and I know Master Yoda agrees with them on this point. I have assigned you all missions to deal with problems that arose while we were fighting the MWC, the information is on your datapads. We must solve these problems quickly and effectively. The republic needs stability if it is to survive. If anyone has any questions, now is the time to ask them.” Arcilte told the Jedi council. “Umm there are missions here for Obi-wan. I don’t mean to be rude buddy but rumour has it that he’s dead.” Said Blackshade, “Apparently people were too quick to assume his death in battle with the Euro’s. We received a transmission from Obi-Wan’s ship - the JRD Outbound Light, it will arrive here within the next couple of days” replied Arcilte, “Good to hear”” said Blackshade, all the Jedi liked Obi-Wan, he had a calming presence on the council and decisions always seemed more fully thought through when he was around, this was good news indeed.

MBM cast his eyes about and the normally quiet Jedi decided to ask the question that had been nagging at him since the beginning of the meeting “Arcilte I mean you no disrespect but where is master Yoda? Surely he should be leading this meeting.”, the reply unexpectedly came from Exar Kuun, ” The AS Skywalker left orbit just over an hour ago and refused all transmissions, I tried to follow in the Killing Time, believing the Skywalker to be in need of assistance but she outran us.” The council sat stunned in silence, the Killing Time was the newest fastest ship in the fleet. “Get recon to track her, it should be easy the AS Skywalker is huge” stated Icho Tolot, “I tried, none of the tracking stations within 10 parsecs can locate her, Master Yoda has disappeared” replied Exar. The council sat there in shock. Each Jedi sat there debating ways of finding Yoda in the privacy of their minds, except for Exar and Arcilte who knew this was coming and kept silent while their fellow Jedi dealt with the shock.

[The scene slowly fades away to blackness, the last image we see is of a speechless council preparing to do its duty without its leader]

All seems quiet and routine, except for the disappearance of Master Yoda. This chapter raises more questions than it answers, what missions have the jedi been set on? How can this seemingly innocuous situation develop into intergalactic war and a scale never seen before - accompanied by the deaths of billions? Just where is that damned green muppet? What happened to his ship? Find out more in the next part of "Exposition".

Hope you enjoyed it.

Nice new chapter, can't wait to see the next chapters.

I should consider this (what will be next) adds of my chapters too, they bring in a certain flair.

I was just wondering why people choose a Huge rare map rather than, say, a Large occasional?
