Have got resulty type thingies back today and there is no permanent damage to my heart, it should all heal in time

Good to hear.

Lets be honest that comment was in poor taste and you haven't the wit or the sense to realise it.

True.

No chance Mayito. There are better ones trying to recruit me and they all failed.

The Will of the Force is strong.

Yes... You'll notice I left for you.

Ever the humble undead.

We may never catch up to the Guardians... but we can sure try.

Hi Arcilte, good to see you around, how's things? Are you still having fun with Warcraft?

Hi guys,

A few recent events have helped me to realise a decision I was slowly coming to anyway. I barely play the game anymore, mainly due to time constraints but also because I find my interest dwindling. So why do I post on the forum? Mainly because of the people over here. Alot of my old friends are gone or have become less and less active, Kit, MM77, Wombie, Jaws, Arcilte, Samurai Ben and so on and I miss them. The stories were cool too, thanks for helping Arcilte, I hope everyone enjoyed reading them as much as I did writing them. Also when I started the recruitment post with Mindshock I didn't think it would get me into flame war after flame war, some of which I know are of my own making, I was just trying to do my best for the community. Anyway I suppose this is a long winded way of saying that I am going to take a much less active role in all forums, I will still be on sdc and post every now and then though to see how you are all getting on. I thank the Jedi for welcoming me, making me feel at home, especially Arcilte and Icho and hope that I have helped the empire in some small way. Thanks guys, its been a blast.

May the force be with you

Exar, I know that we have not seen each other eye to eye lately, but my post was not intended to offend you, was an intent to keep your mind away from the problems, and make you realize that life is a short period of time that we must enjoy to the fullest. You need to smile more, laugh more often and don't take verything so seriously, that is the best medicine for the heart. When you take a stand you must realize that no always people will agree with you. Many people will have different opinions and your role here has been a great, I will say one of the greatest. But sometimes you tend to take things too, way too serious.

Jokes are jokes, Icho knows that, because we have been joking back and forth for long time and we never have had a exchange of words. I am sorry that you think that my difference of opinion with you are a flame war, they are not intended as such.

I am not mocking you for been sick or anything like that, if my comment seems like that, then I apologize here to you. Smile Exar, life is too short to take things so deep in your heart, enjoy the life that God has given you, look around you, this forum is not your life, this is just a place where you come to exchange ideas, get mad, laugh at the silly or stupid things people write. Take care of your loved ones, spend more time with them, go out, go to the beach, admire the sunrises and sunsets, that is the real life.

Don't be so serious it is not good for your heart, the best medicine is a good snile, when you sign out, think, that Mayito/renegade/etc, etc he is a crazy dude. And take a deep breath and laugh out loud with all your strength and think about something nice in your life everytime that my name come across.

You are one of the best persons in here, and an excellent player. Your values are high and honorable. So don't let the weight of someone's else opinion (mine included) affect you. Life is tto short to pay attention to those silly details. Enjoy life to the fullness and laugh, laugh and laugh again when you read my silly posts.

It seems many of the old active members are leaving.

I'm sorry for my lack of posting recently. I've been ill; something about sinuses. Its been dificult to get through all of my schoolwork and really limited my computer time. Hopefully I can be more active after I get better.

Woao, you are like the 3rd one Jedi with medical problems. I am really sorry to hear that you all are having such problems. Thanks God I have not been sick later, but I can relate, my kidneys are working only 1/2 of their capability, I went to the doctor because I had a kidney attack and I still owe like 8 grands because they took me to the wrong hospital, my doctor said that I have to go back because the X-Ray came with some things on my prostate, but i can't because I have to pay first what I owed, so I am just asking God that whatever it is that I have that will not be painful.

Exar I hope you will reconsider your decision, and I promise, I will not rant anymore against you. You have to learn to forgive an old fogie like me.

Have got resulty type thingies back today and there is no permanent damage to my heart, it should all heal in time Just have to take things very easy for a while Easier said than done when you got millions of course deadlines to meet

Lets be honest that comment was in poor taste and you haven't the wit or the sense to realise it. [Message Edited]

Not trying to be contrarian here or stir it up but how was Mayito supposed to know you were still scared when your first statement implied everything was ok, or at least you were out of the woods so to speak and put a smiley face up and implied you were going right back to work on your schoolwork? We cannot see you. We cannot read inflection in your speach. We can't see your facial expression as you type that and obviously pick up you're still scared. I would conclude from that statement that it is likely you were relieved whatever happened was over and that it's not so bad any more.
Calling someone senseless and witless under those conditions was a bit overboard. As was your true Jedi comment. You've been on Mayito's case about this or that for awhile now. You went as overboard as you claimed Mayito did. And indeed, you jumped to a conclusion not knowing the intent of the poster. Next time ask, or clarify, rather than jumping. And yes we all have done the same thing.
Don't know whether you had a rhythm problem or stopage or what but as a heart patient myself, if you're scared, email me if you have any questions.
Bonkersbruin@earthlink.net Email I don't answer em right away but I will answer.

Lastly, I have met no prof that will not give you some break on coursework in this instance, perhaps even issuing an I at the end of the term at which time you could make up the work, as long as you have documentation to prove your hardship. Unless it's like an ITT tech type thing. They tend not to work with you. But even then, with the documentation, they'd be hard pressed not to.
The important thing is to be proactive and let them know what's going on. Don't wait till two weeks to go in the term not being able to put in the time in the meantime before talking to em.

Good luck.

Oh and School, heart, and such are infinitely more important (edit: insert than here) a game and its community.
Rest up and see ya around sometime.

Wow, I'm sorry to see you go Exar, you've been a great asset to the Jedi. I hope I'll still see you around sometime, and who knows, maybe your interest in Galciv will revive in a couple of months. Also, I'm sorry to hear about your medical problems, and I wish you the best of health.

#1818  by Veteran Disciple777 - 3/23/2004 9:24:35 PM

Sorry Exar I didn't know that you were scared about your medical condition, I should have thought of that, again my sincere apologies. I wish you the best and I hope you will recover quick.

I thank the Jedi for welcoming me, making me feel at home, especially Arcilte and Icho and hope that I have helped the empire in some small way.

You've made more than a small impact in this Empire and I don't mind saying that it won't be the same with out you.

I barely play the game anymore, mainly due to time constraints but also because I find my interest dwindling.

I can relate to this.

May the force be with you

And with you my friend.
