I started the SF counterattack. Now I know how the Iraqis felt when faced with 'shock and awe.' In related news, the Galactic Guardians are now more than 2,000,000 points behind the awesome might of the Special Forces. There is no truth to the rumor that they'll a mere 100,000 points behind. They have not taken the Special Forces airport - our counterattack has driven them back and they've taken such massive losses that the Guardian's will to fight has been broken.

How about the reports that RGD-04 is 18.5 million points ahead of the TriForces in the Clone Wars?

Looks like Greldon and Lothmorg will have to up their submission rates then, and when they're parading around SF Central Plaza you can go and hide in a hole somewhere

Ok lets have some real fun

SHE WAS SOOOO BLOND..............

* She sent me a fax with a stamp on it.
* She thought a quarterback was a refund.
* She tripped over the cordless phone.
* She put lipstick on her forehead because she wanted to makeup her mind.
* She told someone to meet her at the corner of WALK and DON'T WALK
* She took a ruler to bed to see how long she slept.
* At the bottom of the application where it says "sign here", she put
Sagittarius
* If she spoke her mind, she'd be speechless.
* When she heard that 90% of all crimes were around the home, she moved.
* Did you hear about the blonde that got an AM radio? It took her months
to figure out she could use it at night.
* What did the blonde say when she saw the sign in front of the YMCA?
"Look! They spelled MACY'S wrong!"
* Why did the blonde stare at the frozen orange juice? Because it said
"concentrate"
* Why can't blondes take coffee breaks? They're too hard to retrain.
* What do you call 9 blondes standing in a circle? A dope ring.
* Why can't blondes be pharmacists? Because they can't fit the bottle in
the typewriter.
* What's the definition of eternity? 4 blondes at a 4-way stop
* What do you call five blondes at the bottom of the ocean? An air pocket.
* What do you call a basement full of blondes? A whine cellar.
* Why do blondes have TGIF on their shirts? "This goes in front"

Glorious news of the truthfull and non minister of information variety...................

After sacrificing hundreds of RF (reguler forces) ships and thousands of crew to lure-away the RealmsBeyond escorts, SF operatives blew up the defenseless constuctor ships from within in a pointless exercise in glory seeking. The convoy's destruction was a pointless result of mistaken intelligence by a squad leader (who shall't remain anonamous) that did not realise that the convoy was headed for different Lacaille IV in happyfunball territory. It was loaded not with terror star ingrediants but with happy-rubber for the happyfunballies recent building project the happy-star.

As a result of this misunderstanding the Guardians are now stuck in an pointless war with us and due to the fact that our ships are floating lifeless deep within Realms Beyond space destroyed trying to destroy the convoy or by the RB retribution, the guardians have taken the SF spaceport and are on their way to the operational-headquarters as we speak.(and the funballies don't get their happy star **sob**sob**)
Can't you see how much better the other version is?

Shush... you're supposed to tell them about the Happy Fun Ball Trojan Horse Party palace we're 'gifting' the Guardians with when they pass us...

Goblincookie - how do you know about Happy Fun Ball? You must have barely been out of diapers when SNL ran that skit!!

I haven't gone on a raid in a while so this one is going to be especially painful...

A Beatles tune starts blaring over SF speakers. An all too familiar voice begins to sing...

Yesterday
Competition seemed so far away
Now it looks as though they're here to stay
Oh, we believe
In yesterday

Suddenly
We’re half the SF we used to be
There's a shadow hanging over us
Oh, yesterday
Came suddenly

Why they
Had to go we don't know
They wouldn't say
We said
Something wrong now we long
For yesterda-a-a-ay

Yesterday
GalCiv was an easy game to play
Now we need a place to hide away
Oh, we believe
In yesterday

Why they
Had to go we don't know
They wouldn't say
We said
Something wrong now we long
For yesterda-a-a-ay

Yesterday
GalCiv was an easy game to play
Now we need a place to hide away
Oh, we believe
In yesterday

I was told that it's best to let the driveway settle for a year before paving in and now I'm anxious to get it paved. I'm not sure what to ask for... I was considering concrete, but my fathers snowblower chewed up his cement a bit, so I'm reconsidering.. I thnk I'm going to pick up a snowblower in the next month, I figure they'll be a good sale... I enjoyed having a plow, but it never came as promptly as I would have liked...I know Captain Jack is bound to have an informed opinion, so maybe I should drop in on Tortuga - but I'd welcome anyone else's opinion as I'm never had to contract a driveway before.

Depends on what you're going to put on it (weight wise) and what your neighbors have.

Could go Concrete, Asphalt, or Aggregate. The only thing I wouldn't recommend with a snowblower is aggregate. For the other two, it depends on
square footage of the driveway, what you intend to drive and park on it, what's in the neighborhood, and your budget.
Most of the time, I usually go with reinforced concrete over the Asphalt unless the drive is lengthy and cost becomes a big issue.

Example. If it's a long drive and everyone else in the neighborhood has asphalt, or mostly gravel, you'll probably want asphalt. If it's short and lots of people have concrete, you'll probably want that. Get an estimate for both.

A concrete drive should last as long as the house. Make sure it's not merely one piece or it will crack like an SOB. An asphalt drive should also last as long as the house but will need to be topcoated every 8-15 years, and the cracks tarred over every 2-5 years or it will fall apart.

Hehe. Don't look now but we Pirates may yet have some Dash in us...

And no we didn't swallow the laundry soap in a drunken stupor....

Thanks Pontius! I'll get estimates for both asphalt and concrete. My driveway isn't that long and I like the way it looks better.

Great to hear from you Kit!

Hey, we'll still on top this morning, the Guardians must have given up...

Quack it's good to hear you're lurking...

Greldon - Happy Fun Ball was a skit that ran right before the 1st gulf war. Here's the text:

It's funnier to see, rather than read it though...

Thanks CypherPax - I pretty much quit watching SNL in the mid 80s. (as I recall)

Wow...it's like old times...

I suddenly remembered today that we must be coming up to (have passed?) the first anniversary! I bought this game on day 1 via Stardock although it took my computer literate friend all day to work out how to download it (he complained it was the most non-intuitive way to download a game imaginable).

A few days later I came across the Aussie empire, followed by Pontius. Not long after that Wombie surfaced. And the rest is history. They were the days- the first story I read in the CariElf FC where Quack was killed for the first time (I can't describe the pleasure I got from reading that story by Blue Ocean). The first KitWarrior posts I read- and I thought is this guy on the edge or what???! How impressed I was with his evil black face. Then and there I knew I had to get one too. And all the other lads who surfaced along the way. Gee I feel old now.

Cheers to y'all.
