Ginata,

Congrats on the baby and thanks for stopping by. It's great to hear from you! The expansion is fun -- and the scoring actually rewards more than military victories so you can try other things out. The caimpaign has a couple of really interesting scenarios where you have to invent new strategies -- it's pretty fun.

Killa - it's great to hear from you too! One year of Galciv...

Maybe we can make a come back... now that Hurley's back from vacation.

You guys make my day by posting I miss chatting!

Hey, great news Free Tibet!!

Drop by every once in a while and let us know how the pregnancy is going! A bunch of us have kids and would love to help you out if we can.

I can't seem to be able to submit my latest game for some reason. We need to destroy the guardian scum and the happy funballies now Free Tibet can't handle them.

A lot of people are having problems with submitting games with the latest 1.49 update, specially for those sending alliance victories.

My game was an alliance victory and that's why I guess it's not working. Very annoying.

Some facts about happy fun ball.....

Happy fun ball is one of the hundreds of minor empires that infest the metaverse like a plague. It's led by BiffMan and his cronies X ZaxiSx and Terminator and is ranked as 171st empire in the metaverse between it's rivals and neighbors Continuum and Ventrue. It was established on the fourth of feb, 2003.

Happy Fun Ball is located between Realms Beyond and SF space. They were until recently building a happy star to house BiffMan and his cronies who due to overexposure to happy fun ball are all suffering from uncontrolled shaking and nausea.

Hey, we're not a not dead empire - we're just resting, we're feeling a lot better...

Good attitude. Just don't rest too long in this Meta or you might wake up and be lower in the rankings than the current #2. Granted, 4 million points is a pretty decent cushion since one needs about 2 million to stay in the top 10, but score inflation combined with a few new and very active overlords in other empires have been the doom of other superpower empires. The Meta is one place where neither star player or super empire can rest on their laurels too long.

Well, good to drop in on you folks. I got to be moving along myself. Don't let the rifles get too rusty. Some of you more experienced players are still needed to keep the new recruits in the Metaverse in line.

And don't forget the aging when submitting a game after a long period of inactivity.

Hey! Those are my friends you're talking about!
I prefer to think of most of them as traitors and deserters.

They are only ursurpers if they are not in power. I think those at the top are in power.

#894  by Citizen Cliffracer Slayer - 4/3/2004 2:57:56 AM

They are userpers beacause they took our place as supreme rulers of the metaverse. We are the rightful rulers of the metaverse and they are not. Therefore they are traitors, deserters and usurpers.

Funny, folks from my empire seem to think the same thing.

But us pirates are very flexible. We can go from hunting in remote sectors of space where the looting opportunities are few and far between in bad times, once again scraping by on whatever avails itself to us, or being an overwhelming presence in the Meta where many busy sectors don't see a cargo go by without paying their bribes to the pirate masters. (Whether a low, set rate ahead of time or us having to come on board personally to exact the late payment option from the deadbeats trying to sneak on by. ARR!)

Only time will tell how the SF adapts in its lull and if there will be a major offensive later.

You know, I was pretty sure we were the rightful rulers. I even had a document to prove it... Now, where did I put it? Hm. Think I gave it to Theoden to look after...
