Hello fellow SF-ers and gang! I have been away Unrealing it for a long time but am now thinking about getting the new AP expansion. Have any of you tried it and if so, how do you like it? What is new in the world of Metaverse?

AP is actually a bit easily because with two new races, each race ends up with less planets and they tend to fight even more.

The nice thing is that score increases, so you can win by conditions other than military (on or after 2190) and not kill your score. It also makes it much easier to advance in the metaverse...

The caimpaigns are inconsistent, but they do dictate new tactics. However, you can shred them fairly easily - many of scenarios rely on a colony rush and speed is a killer pick in many cases. I failed some of the missions the first try, but the second time a winning strategy became obvious...

It's not a bad deal for $20 - but it's not that much different either. That's probably why more of us haven't come back...

Cool. I may check it out tomorrow and see if I can rekindle the GalCiv spirit. Thanks for the info!

How many misinformation posts do I have to make?

What are you talking about? Did I miss something?

Well I'm glad that's cleared up.

The recent guardian expansion has sent shockwaves through the metaverse and beyond. Their relentless advance into Yor Collective space has left trillions of innocent worker-yor in pieces and devestated the enviroment of hundreds of worlds.

Colony ships full of millions of Yor refugees that were fleeing from such unthinking and ruthless xenocidal butchery of one of the metaverses most ancient cultures were caught and obliterated by G.R.O.S.S pirates. The extinction of Yor-kind seems likely.

Step right up, folks, this is an opportunity of a lifetime! We've got YOR! That's right! Get a super-fine, genuine, real-good-time YOR! Have it clean the house! Fetch the paper! Kill your annoying neighbours! There's noting YOR can't do!

Our special SpecFor brand of Yor have all been captured in the wild, so they're not a bunch of soft-****s! But, we've given them intensive training, so they won't go psychotic (unless you want them to go psychotic, of course, in which case you'll enjoy the show).

We've even neutered them for no extra charge, so they won't be able to do disgusting things with home appliances and breed out of control. No nasty surprises down the road with SpecFor-brand YOR.

Think of the collectible value! Once the Guardians finish their little xenophobic pleasure cruise, any Yor that survive will be at premium value! They'll be VERY limited edition! It's impossible to lose!!! *

Buy now, and we'll include a harmonica, so your Yor will be able to entertain you wherever you go! That's 20 bcs of extra value right there! CALL NOW!

[* Impossibility not guaranteed.]

Just what I need for my neighbors...

And my boss.

One problem with that idea. We won't be able to capture any Yor once the guardians are finished with them so you'd better give all our Yor aprodisiac and make them breed.

Then not only will you control the supply of Yor in the market as noone else will have any Yor.
Sure they won't be captured wild Yor but with the prices we'll be able to charge it won't matter. Plus we could lie. HAAAHAAHAAAHAAHAAAAA

Oooops I just rembembered that I'm good

Naaaaah. Would you like a Yor Toaster? How bout a Yor Mixer? We have all the best Yor Appliances. Buy the Yor Washing machine. Made with two Yor. Will reproduce into a Yor Dryer, Yor Dishwasher, and Yor Stove to match once it's delivered. Saves on warehousing/Delivery costs.

This just in, The Yor power painter. Though sometimes if you use it to paint your exterior hull, it paints a target, for interior work, it's first rate.

Goblin Cookie,

You're doing a good job of keeping the thread active - next week I'd expect some return traffic.

Just watched Gallipoli with Mel Gibson to get ready for the big day.

I've got drengin net but Altarian prophercy (or and betas) don't show up on my list of downloadable programs. What do I have to do?

Make sure that you have "Show Pre-Release Versions" checked (lower left corner).

Hail, keepers of the flame.

I've got A.P beta now. The campaign is kind of alright but the editors leave an aweful lot to be desired, like custormisable planets, a full list of ships (the current set has only a few ships on it and no starbases!!!!) just to name a few.

Mornin', all.

I'm stepping out for a day or two as a gesture of respect for the Anzacs. After sharing a battlefield with all of the SF Aussies since - what, October? It seemed like a good idea.

Never fear, I shall return. Make sure Quack doesn't run up my bar tab in the meantime, please.
