(Yawn) Hello? Is this thing on?

Ben crawls out of the ale keg, woozily. All still quiet on the borders? Time for another round, then...

(hic)

Sorry to wake y'all. If I may quote the inimitable Homer Simpson: "To alcohol - the cause of - AND solution to - all of life's problems."

Just celebrating the fact that my company's German officers are on their way BACK to the Eastern Hemisphere. When I have another few cups of coffee, I'll check back to see if I actually managed to spell "inimitable" correctly. For now, it's a wee bit too much to worry about.

Hey Ben my main sword man.

How have you been travelling.. Got a drink for a dry bat?

If not we can still put one on Hurls tab.
He won't mind.

I've been to busy to play lately ..

How's the crew.. is the paw still rusty.

any way I'm sure we have some schnapps back in the old T-Star.

Crikey. I must still be drunk - that bat's about six feet tall! - oh, it's you, Bakka. Grab a pint.

I've been to busy to play lately ..

I hear you on that one. I fired up Political Machine a couple of times over the weekend...it's my first PC gaming in several months.

How's the crew.. is the paw still rusty.

The crew still puts in appearances at the "bunker" every now and then. For the most part, I think a lot of us are just burned out on the game and are waiting for the next one to come along. Cypher's out at the moment, but he and GoblinCookie, our resident Wesley Crusher clone, are still holding down the fort here in the meantime.

And the Iron Paw? RUSTY!?! Why, I oughta...get you another round and put it on Wombie's tab!

I played a couple of PM games and I actually fired up a GalCiv AP game that was interrupted by the family this weekend. I have not had a chance to finish it yet but I'm hoping to this week. Unreal still have my attention right now along with work ( )

Anyhoot, good to hear from you guys again and welcome back to the OpCentre. Hope to see you more often Ben! And have you talked to Master Yoda lately?

Later on.

I dropped that question in the Jedi halls a couple of days ago. The muppet is still MIA. He's probably off on another hiatus with a FPS game...I'm sure he'll be back.

Bear in mind, I LIKED Wes. Picard's ego and preaching could get overbearing at times, at it was refreshing that his IQ was about half that of the teenaged wunderkind's. I was disappointed that the "final" Next Generation movie didn't bring him back, along with Q, just so that we could all see the old gang back together one last time; but, alas, 'twas not to be. (sniff)

Whups. Probably should have posted that in the Starfleet thread...but it's probably best to let 'em stay asleep over there.

Oi!!!

I have returned from over 3 weeks in Japan and the wallet has been, shall we say, significantly negatively impacted by recent travels! So not much room on my tab!

Tell you what, real sake from small regional places is just awesome and the best is actually served cold!!

My mouth is watering, my head hurts, and my tongue is furred just thinking about it!

The paw never gets rusty. Not as long as we've got flunkies to shine it up.

#984  by Veteran Grand_Admiral_Thrawn - 5/4/2004 10:55:42 PM

And flunkies have appeared. Nice to see. Now if you guys would start playing, maybe scare the Guardians a bit?

#985  by Citizen Hurley - 5/4/2004 11:16:13 PM

yuck..

the iron paw is covered with minion spit...

so that's how it goes rusty quicker..

#987  by Citizen Wild Wombat - 5/5/2004 12:57:45 AM

Rusty! I'll bloody give you rusty!

Truth is, I'm having a heap of trouble logging on and posting - I have to delete cookies EVERY time; log on, cant post, log off, delete cookies, log on...THEN I get to post. Grrr....

[Insert Homer Simpson voice] "Mmmm...minion spit...."

Good to hear from everyone - and will try and touch base a bit more often if I can get this damn thing worked out....

So...nothing new happened while you were overseas?

#989  by Citizen Wild Wombat - 5/5/2004 1:12:39 AM

God Damn! Two posts in a row made it to the board! Well, while I'm on a roll....

I think Jaws has just finished Morrowind; Killa and I are having a go at an online card game called StarChamber (Ray the Wanderer is also playing this heavily at the moment) but I must admit that I'm not really playing anything ferociously at the moment - maybe a bit of a backlash after such intense involvement here.

Good to see ya Bakka (and hope the missus is well) and hope the Quack is flying in a straight line...well...maybe...

Dang, a lot of the old crew is talking it up; thats great to see. I finished my little AP game last night and actually liked what I saw. Of course, my game didnt submit, so I was not able to help the team.

why, what was wrong?

#994  by Citizen Monkson - 5/5/2004 8:23:37 AM

As soon as I clicked submit, it went straight back to the main menu. Normally it would take it a second or two and prompt me that it was successfull.

I could have sworn I posted yesterday, but apparently I didn't - must be rusty. It's great to see everyone back-- sort of like the old times without the 'Kill Quack, Volume 2' type-stories...

Mrs. Pax is due anytime so that, a death in my in-laws family, and trying to get my yard into order is keeping me busy...

Monkson - the last games I submitted did just as you described. They were successful, but I had to check my transcript to see them... glad to see someone here is still playing..

Cheers!

Usually when this happens to me it means my internet connection is down.

Bug maybe?
try speak to Cari! She might help!

#998  by Citizen Monkson - 5/5/2004 11:44:35 AM

I was having internet issues last night, but I was able to surf right after I submitted the game. I will try again tonight and see what happens.

How do you guys like that you have to pay for those starbase cultural and weapons improvements?

It makes the cultural - military way way more expansive

EDIT: I hope a SF-ler will take 1000
