Newf moved on to start his own empire. That puts you in 7th and us in 10.

For now we are solidly in 7th unless more defections occur in other empires. As for moving up anytime soon, we probably will need some new blood submitting games to get the ~750k required for 6th.

I'm planning on reducing my pace to one game every second or third day to keep slowly advancing and avoiding decay.

I have posted a new thread in the General Forum as "Open Letters to Stardock - Plese Fix the Metaverse." Please go add your plea, suggestions, comments, etc. Ask them to respond, Let's see what they do.

I'm not sure the current metaverse is fixable anymore. I'm still undecided about how a GalCiv2 metaverse should work.

On a happier note, I finally got Disciples2 downloaded with my slow modem. Now if I can find the time to play!

Moser, be careful, it is an intriging game and will occupy many hours of your time.

Disciples 2 - See you in a couple of weeks

I'm dividing my time between D2 and playing GalCiv with the AP alternative rules/scenarios. Since they submit/score the same as normal games, they will keep my metaverse score active.

Hmmm...9th place. It looks like the "recalc" faeries have been at work again. Alex dropped like a gold brick.

Looks like tgrz is making a serious run for the top 10.

I have finished my house siding project and should have some more time to devote to GalCiv.

You noticed that, too!!

Good hunting tgrz!!

The mighty Aldarian party palaces are "slowly" culture flipping the metaverse!

Hmmm...I just finished playing all 10 AP scenarios. Only one has any real problem. "Attrition" would not give a non-anomalous score.

"Diplomacy" is the easiest to win because all that is required for victory is to Ally with the Arceans. Accordingly it gives a lower than normal score.

"Twilight of Humanity" may be the hardest because the seven AIs start as a team. You need to avoid war and only take out AI by culture or Alpha strike before the other AIs have a chance to declare war.

This weekend I'm going to probably try some scenarios from the library.

I haven't tried any of the scenarios yet.

I'm currently in the middle of what I think is going to be my longest game ever. Started from the 'corner position' with my good friends the Altarians as a neighbor/gatekeeper.

Pesky Altarians. I think they are Yor androids!

Pesky Altarians.

I have developed a hatred of them that rivals that which I feel for the Yor.

Yor clones? Why, that's too evil to contemplate!

The Altarians are usually not the problem in my 'good' games. A couple of trade routes and theyare Close. This is good because they could crush me like a bug right now. And they arekeeping all the others away from me. Unlike the stupid Yor who I made an alliance with once (a long time ago) and then they watched ships go past their planets and blast mine.

Stupid toasters.

Hmmm...any alien that stands in the way of the manifest destiny of humanity must be convinced to move.

I guess I still like my BOOMS!! I believe you mentioned being a planet collector though, so I can see where a TS may not be good for you.
