Da pirates up to no good again.. and raidin the ANZACS once again I see... I'm indead sorry to see this.. my heart felt sympathy goes out to evil steve.. I know what he's going through .. having been through it all before myself... it seems to be a deemed thing that the stepping blocks go from AN ZACS vto GROSS and then onto SF .. Just goes to show that there is no such thing as loyalty in this here metaverse..

and As i'm finding in StarFleet there arn't many newbloods comming into the empires.. (not many playing games anyway)..

Its not an easy life being an emperor I know...I know... I'm a glutten for punishment and didn't learn my lesson the first time round... it would seem that unless empires are in the top 10 then its bound to die a slow painfull death.. no matter how hard we may try... Try and Cry then Die

Hang in there J.T. (and Evil Steve too). I just found this game a month ago. True, I joined up with the Galactic Guardians, and have been very happy there - not because I thought that they were going to rocket to first place, but because they were active on their thread and seemed to be having fun. That being said, Star Fleet was one of my final three choices. I know that with the defections and retirements, it may look like the metaverse is in decline, but there are still new players looking for a home, and not all of us just want to join the biggest empire or the one in first place. Just have fun, talk about it, and the players will find you - at least the ones with the wit to look.

That wasn't true the first time and isn't this time either. They came on their own accord.
To me not bagging on someone merely for leaving or their new empire simply for accepting them is the least amount of loyalty an emporer can show to those that choose to be with us for however long they see fit.

Evils Steve and all the members of ANZAC, we would love if you all will merge with us, we can create the mightiest empire in the whole Metaverse. So wHAT u zAIS??

#234  by Diplomat Blue_Steel - 3/29/2004 5:59:53 PM

Yeah right... as if Renegades behavoue isn't poaching... I myself when I was emperor of te ANZACS was approached on no fewer then 20 occasions to join the pirates with offers from active senators of senetorship if I joined.. So just because the empires leader doesn't poach etc.. it doesn't mean that the others don't... and whats worse is that the eperor is so blind that he can't see whats going on..As if they were wearing Rose coloured glasses... Only seeing what they want to.. I don't want to start a war out there but sheesh... at least be honest...

Sound very nice Evil Steve. If you guys are going to do that, I think I would join in for at least a bit.

What is the future of the AZNACs beyond that?

dat'll be it for da ANZACs, unless someone wants to revive them in the future.

#241  by Veteran Grand_Admiral_Thrawn - 3/30/2004 12:07:09 AM

Well, if that would be the end, are you guys just going to join other empire, or just be independant? If you guys want to join an empire, feel free to join us. But I don't want to force anybody, or be overzealous with this, so that is the last I will say about that.

As to the first so-called poaching. Uh the SF said it wasn't true. I said it wasn't true. And pretty much everyone involved EXCEPT YOU said it wasn't true. Furthermore, you were no where to be seen then wombie and the gang joined us. Days later, you come back, not even knowing they had formed an empire for a week or two in the meantime, and you accuse me of raiding the Anzacs when WOMBIE and Killa weren't in AnZAC at the time they came over. They weren't even Anzacs when they discussed joining us. They already had their own empire which wasn't working at the time. And the fact is, two of our older members opted to go with special forces when they left. It happens. But unlike you we picked ourselves up off the deck and went on with things. But you do not see me trashing them or Wombie for them joining his empire do you? Furthermore, you claim several members of my empire offered Senatorship, but we've always had specific rules on that issue. And why not offer you to come join us at the time? Everyone active, including Cotal, had left. And you never sent me any chatlogs or anything else to back what you said. Had you had one and sent it right away, I'd have given it some weight. But without one, what am I supposed to do? Take the word of someone who obviosly flames first and gets the facts later? Besides, how many months ago did this happen? Yet you still hold a grudge. A grudge that has no basis in reality.

As to this so-called poaching now, the fact is we discussed merger with the entirety of Anzac and one other empire and it never really got off the ground. Two active members decided to join us. As the rest of the empire isn't so active, why not ask steve and anyone else still active to come with us?

But by all means, continue to bury your head in the sand, believe what you want, and continue to take pot shots. I doubt even after months of everyone trying to convince you different, you'll ever be convinced otherwise. Continue to demand loyalty from everyone in your empire and in the meta but give no loyalty back to them yourself by taking sour grapes potshots at everyone who decides to leave.

Renegade: I can't speak for Steve but, I think Steve wants to chart a different course at the moment. Perhaps he'll think of coming over later.

oi, nuff said! dis iz a clean thread, specially az da never-never az 'ad all iz posts deleted...

Bogus Charges made. Bogus charges disproven. Now, there is nuff said on the subject. Good luck Steve.

For the Captains Log:

I was not poached by the Pirates I switched when it became obvious that there were only 3 active players involved (myself, never never and evil).

I didnt feel good about it but it is done now.

#246  by Veteran Disciple777 - 3/30/2004 7:01:30 AM

Sorry Captain, I will stop my recruiting efforts with the ANZACs, I will just invite them to come for a drink, and when they get to the bar, then we can show them the new treasures we just "recovered"

I think for that day of retirement we can come and join ANZAC and maybe have a snapshot of ANZAC ending position for the history books.

Which 25th?

Not sure if there were ever any non Australians in the Anzacs, but our 25th is one day ahead of America.

#248  by Veteran Grand_Admiral_Thrawn - 3/30/2004 4:27:19 PM

Good question. We should set up a time in GMT. In America we are 5-8 hours behind, depending on which coast. What is the Australian difference?

#249  by Citizen Hurley - 3/30/2004 4:30:12 PM

What is the Australian difference

It depends! Australia is a far bigger country than it looks on a Northern Hemispehere centric map, with three time zones at the momenet, changes depending on who observes daylight saving and when.
