Well, America has four, so BAH!

What I mean to ask is how far ahead are you of the GMT line?

#251  by Citizen Hurley - 3/30/2004 4:31:02 PM

For example In Melbourne it is currently about 07:30 tomorrow (Wednesday), Adelaiade would be about 07:00 and Perth about 05:30.

Does that include Hawai?

Ok, thanks. Oh, edit last. It is six with the Alaskan and Hawaii zones.

#254  by Veteran Grand_Admiral_Thrawn - 3/30/2004 4:32:51 PM

Wow, you are 13-15 hours ahead? (Did I get that right?)

I think so, I don't what time it is where you are. Also during our summer & your winter and vice versa it changes.

And yes, one of the time zones is 30 minutes different!

#256  by Veteran Grand_Admiral_Thrawn - 3/30/2004 4:46:22 PM

So, I think we should set the time to April 25 00:01 to 23:59 GMT. That way everybody but the Europeans is inconvienced.

#257  by Citizen Hurley - 3/30/2004 4:49:10 PM

Umm, the big remembrance services in Australia start at dawn, that would be before 00:00 GMT (I think anyway.)

#258  by Veteran Evil Roy - 3/30/2004 8:28:14 PM

to avoid confusion we'll stick to GMT for ANZAC Day....as suggested.

#259  by Veteran Evil Roy - 3/30/2004 8:30:00 PM

but in true anzac style it won't be policed!

MWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

All right. Be sure to remind us closer to the time. Otherwise I know I won't remember. But I will be glad to join in paying respect to a old great empire before it decides to fade away.

Does that include Hawai?

If you count Hawaii and Alaska, the United States covers 5 different timezones (with one skipped between Pacific and Hawaii/Alaska time).

So when it's noon in hawaii, it is 5 eastern

And All I know about the difference in time is Australia got its olympic venues done in time, and Greece will not.

#265  by Citizen Embird - 4/1/2004 5:49:59 PM

Here in Western Australia, we are 8 hours ahead of GMT.
The Eastern states are 3 hours ahead of us, now they have stopped daylight saving...I think.

It is 6.45 on Friday morning right now.

I didn't say that.
Temptation always comes before doing.
The anticipation is the best part.
