Welcome one and all to the official empire thread of the Galactic Guardians. I've asked Alexus for some webspace so for the moment, I have no website. Fear not! There will most assuredly be one!
I suppose the first order of business is to explain what the heck is going on here. I am an official colony of the Fellowship of the Ring, meaning I'm a new empire but still have strong ties to the Fellowship.
The Galactic Guardians
The Galactic Guardians are dedicated to protecting the galaxy from alien incursion. Humans are the rightful heirs to the galaxy and must protect themselves from the aliens bent on galactic domination. Honor and Justice are the two principal beliefs of the Guardians. There are no alignment or victory condition requirements. Activity is essential in this empire, though there will be no "kicking" of members for non-activity.
The History of the Galactic Guardians
For a long time, the Fellowship of the Ring empire maintained order in the Metaverse. The followers of the One Ring understood the differences between chaos and order and between good and evil. Galactic order reigned for so long that several overlords got complacent. Theoden of Rohan was one of these overlords. Seeking adventure, Theoden decided to strike out on his own. After fond farewells, Theoden departed Middle Earth in his personal starship bound for unknown territories. He searched for a new beginning. His search ended upon his discovery of a new star system, which he promptly named Rohan in memory of his longtime home. The Rohan system contained three planetoids, however only one was considered worthy of notice. Landing on the barren planetoid, Theoden realized he had found his new home. Activating his automated terraforming equipment, the planetoid soon became a virtual paradise. Theoden decided to name this planet Raven’s Claw and began to set up his headquarters. He was alone for the moment, but he was happy. This new empire would give him the opportunity to try new tactics and new horizons would open. The future was completely wide open and Theoden welcomed it’s uncertainty.

Thanks Cypher.
Yup, I think I now know how you all felt. Leaving the Fellowship was a tough decision and one I didn't take lightly. But I'm excited about the future! And luckily, I have the support of the Fellowship!

Thanks, Exar!
I almost decided on making my empire a Galactic Empire, but thought better of having a competing Star Wars empire.

Thank you, everyone! Today's been pretty busy at work, so I haven't been able to hang out in the forums like I would like to. Hopefully later on this week, things will be easier.

Wow - barely made it onto the first page! Looks like you'd better open a hotel for all the guests you're going to have in here, Theo.
Like a few others have mentioned, it's not an easy decision to leave an empire that you've called home for a very long time. Good luck in your new adventure. There's a stool for you at the SF Tavern if you need to take a break on your journeys every now and then.
