I was actually thinking of setting up a playlist. Didn't really know how to go about doing it, but I thought I'd find something in the forums to tell me how...

I don't get yelled at for the music being too loud. The wife just starts to mimic the music, then I usually turn it down.

I just run Winamp or Windows Media Player in the background. I have an advantage of a second processor to handle that stuff while the other runs galciv. Doesn't slow down gameplay.

I want to be a Vice Admiral so I can get into liquor sales, cigarettes, and all the other goodies.

Thanks, guys!

Vice Admiral...

I'd hate to think you do as a Rear Admiral.

Well I are one.... I see my duties as leading my forces to punch through the frontline defenses and make sure the Yor take a big one in the rear...preferably of the antimatter missile type....

Nurse: Dr. Terl will see you now.
Terl: Have you ever had an AMM enema?

Theoden's Excalibur waited on the night side of Westerfeld. They had arrived well ahead of the Yor and had dispatched Greldon and Lothmorg to hide in wait in the nearby asteroid belt. The transports waited with Theoden as did the escort of battle hammers. Greldon's and Lothmorg's ships were essentially shut down to reduce their electronic signature in hopes they would blend in with the asteroids as long as possible.

The Yor fleet appeared on the expected course. The Yor flagship was in the rear of the formation and the transports in the center protected by the battle hammers and dreadnoughts. It seemed as if they expected nothing. Theoden's excalibur had been actively jamming any transmissions from the planet itself since their arrival in the sector. The Yor were walking into the trap just as the Guardians had hoped.

Warning alarms blared suddenly in the Yor flagship. N-1 screeched demanding to know what was happening and was deeply troubled when he was informed that missiles were inbound. The antimatter missiles from Xasica had arrived on schedule. The missiles tore into the lead dreadnought with a massive explosion. The second struck the dreadnought as it had just begun careening off its intended course. The subsequent violent explosions took out two of the transports which exploded into fiery fragments. The third transport was heavily damaged by the massive explosions and rammed the already damged dreadnought causing further explosions. There remained but one dreadnought, the battle hammers, and N-1's flagship. N-1 was no fool and quite the coward. He ordered his ship to turn and go around the damaged ships and hide behind the planet far from the battle scene before him.

Greldon and Lothmorg fired their ships and raced forward to join the fray. Both enjoyed close combat especially with the Yor. The avatars leaped forward racing toward the Yor fleet. Lothmorg angled to cut off the battle hammers. His ship swooped upon them as an eagle after its prey. The first volleys from his ship tore through two of the battle hammers splitting both in two. His point defense systems picked off stray lifepods or even still functional Yor as they floated among the debris. There was to be no salvation for the Yor this day. Greldon raced toward the dreadnought firing as he neared. His first shot glanced off the heavily armored vessel yet his second ripped through the bridge destroying many vital systems. Greldon turned his ship about and came up on the rear of the massive dreadnought. He fired all weapons at the weakly armored engine sections of the damaged ship. After firing he veered up and away from the soon to be doomed dreadnought. The huge Yor dreadnought, once the pride of the Drengin fleet, lit the sector brilliantly with its deathly final explosion. Lothmorg had come about and destroyed the remaining battle hammer and transport. Greldon and Lothmorg swept the devastation destroying remaining Yor and salvaging anything worth the effort.

N-1 knew what had happened and was glad to be escaping the carnage. He could hear the screams on the radio and could see the lights of the explosions on the other side of the planet. In his flight of fear he never noticed, nor did the crew, Theoden's flagship in their path until it was entirely too late. N-1 ordered his ship to a halt and attempted to hail Theoden's ship with pleas for mercy. The begging and wailing increased from the Yor flagship and Theoden smiled and said "Let us answer them now. All weapons open fire." The Yor ship was struck with beams and missiles almost simultaneously it seemed. The death knight N-1 was so proud of was utterly destroyed in mere seconds, its flaming hulk now falling toward the surface of Westerfeld.

Theoden ordered the ground invasion which was over in mere minutes. Naqmir's forces landed in the capital and swiftly moved to the governor's palace and forced a quick surrender. Westerfeld was now in Guardian hands. Theoden's forces regrouped andd began planning the move on Poseidon.
