I'll have a drink too! I just wiped out 2 Yor systems. They "succumbed" to my vicious mass driver attacks. They just didn't want to go easy. Well I collected enough BC's from them first. They paid for their own destruction Drinks for all on me!!

Terl, Once again the story is going really good, I love coming here everyday just to see how it is coming along.

MC, that free corvette thing really sucks when it happens at the end of the game. There's really nothing you can do but watch 100 corvettes go boom. Of course, it gives you a chance to get to the restroom or run to the fridge, so it's not always that bad!

Thats what I ended up doing Theoden, 1st stop rest room, second stop fridege

In narrative form for those that appreciate it:

Andersona had proven to be tough to take. The Guardians had thrown three transports at it already but the Yor would not yield. Terl decided to drive them from their holes once and for all. Two more transports were on the way to Andersona. Terl's fleet patrolled the space around the beleaguered planet destroying two death knights and four dreadnoughts before the transports arrived.

Terl ordered the transports to use all they had in what he decided would be the last of the Yor. The transports pummeled the planet with waves of mass driver attacks. The great mass of the shells drove through the atmosphere landing on the cities and fortified positions far below. Hell rained upon the Yor defenders as massive shells drove through buildings and struck the ground with a ferocity unbeknownst to the Yor.

After the seemingly endless waves of prepatory fire the transports made their landing runs approaching the main cities of the Yor. The troops, Terl's best shock legions, ripped huge breaks in the Yor defensive lines. They left no Yor standing, left none operational, left nothing in their wake but vicious, total destruction. The battle was over in a mere two hours but the destruction so complete and total their existed no infrastructure with which to rebuild the planet. The remaining troops reboarded the transports and began their flight to Iversonia, the only remaining Yor world. Before they arrived the Yor had surrendered.

The Yor on Iversonia were removed and sent to forced labor camps after they had been reprogrammed.

It was asked earlier in this thread what do Yor have to do with toast. The answer my fellow Guardians is oh so simple! We toast them with phasers, lasers, and missiles and we toast the fact they are gone!

From the Yor point of view:

"Oh God help us! Here they come again. Please make it stop mommy, please. Oweeee.... I hate pain circuitry. Hey, where's my arm? Uh oh, I feel a BSOD coming....system shutdown..."

I wonder if the Yor have a religion. They might study the secret texts of 10 easy steps to learning C++, which is there bible.

FLASHBACK!!

Man...I really liked BASIC.

Just dropped an unexpected Small/Suicidal in the pot! The wife was tired so I decided to crank one out.

Great account of the destruction, Terl! Sounds a little like what I did to the Yor in my game! Sometimes it just requires a little extra oomph in the invasion tactic!

I really, really like that sound effect for Terror Star strikes! The game ended with three Torian systems going boom. Hell, I even invaded every minor...there wasn't a single solitary alien left in the galaxy!

Thanks for your efforts, guys! I hope all of you are having fun! As long as we are enjoying ourselves, the points and stuff will take care of themselves! So, let's toast some more Yor!

My friends have taken it upon themselves to keep me busy this week. I didn't get but an hour to play today so far. But I'll be doing the night shift tonight. Time to bust some Yor a$$.

Now that would be one hell of a funny program! I think I might even remember how to actually write that in VB too.
