Yeah, but Im having alot of trouble playing maso at the moment, I cant seem to get my tech tree order right, or social order right. In AP im having a hard time getting the AI to fight each other specially playing with all AI set to goody-goody

By the mid game usally the Dominion of the Korx come after me because my military is to low, and no matter how much I gift them, releations slide down the toilet, because they seem to get tired of gifts after a while and it stops working. With tech ive tryed keeping up in military tech, or non military and trading non military techs for there military ones......I just dont know.

Are you playing as evil against all good AI. If so, tsk tsk. That's darn near impossible.

The secret about bribing is to do it every 5 or 6 turns, so they don't get used to it.

I'm assuming that AP is still like that.

Since I been trying to play Maso I havnt been to productive, I might have to go back to simple and get a few games in.

But I feel if I could just get the hang of maso, my score will help contribute more to the empire.

I want to earn a medal in the Guardians website

Thanks Loth! I think playing Maso on AP is as hard as Tough was on 1.20. The main difference was I could not compete technologically. A few Party Palaces and TS's and I didn't have to worry anymore.

Don't worry about the empire. We'll do fine either way. The important thing to remember is you are here to have FUN. If you want to drop back a little to have that fun, then please do.

The last thing we want is for you to get burned out and STOP playing.

Im playing towards good alignment myself with all good AI

I have a Laptop

So you bribe them every 5-6 turns, I was bribing them only when my relations started dropping below neutral.

You'll have more sucess bribing them to war if you are on better relations. You can increase trade with them to improve the disposition as well. It won't change their status, but they'll be more receptive to bribes.

All I can say is, make sure your diplomatic power never gets behind. I was researching majesty by the time the AI was getting dreads. And make sure that you pick a nice diplo bonus at the beginning.

I don't at all. The AI trades me military for the Yellow and Green techs I get.

I pick the Diplomatic ability now with 50% to diplomacy...

Government; Feferalists,
Abilities; PQ+5%, Diplomacy +50%, Trade +10% and sometime I pick between economics or pop. growth

How much do you bribe them?.

I usually do 10bc for 200 turns. this takes cool relations to neutral or warm.

Hooray, That large map wasn't worth a whole lot more than the small and tiny but it did help. I think I'll go back to small and tiny and just increase the difficulty. It seems like bigger maps make the game easier, it just takes longer to kill off your enemies. Except the Yor who gave up before I even met them in this game.
