Thanks Magnum. I will have to give a gigantic a try some time. As you can see I rarely play large maps. Could be interesting....

Welcome Bonscott and Cmnwlth! Glad to have you with the Guardians!!

WTG Terl, my first maso was a sweet occasion, after a few failed attempts, I was feeling useless, and disheartened. Seems silly but ahhh well thats human emotion for you. When I won my first one it was a feeling of relief. Now playing at maso I dont think I could go back to an easier setting. I still find maso can be hard sometimes depending on certain factors and it keeps you going back for more.

Anyway congrats again Terl on your first maso win

I like reading Greldon's one liners before a boom

I'd be playing, but this remodel is going poorly. Although, in 3-4 days I'll be back at it.

Hey Greldon! I posted something over in our private forum. Check it out when you get some time.
Happy BOOMing!

Hey LW! Good to see you. I'm sure you'll be real happy when it's finished.

After I sunk my entire tax return in it, I better be.

By the way, removing a cast iron, porcelain tub from a second story home, with narrow turning stairs, is not reconmened by me.

That's what a window is for.

Ooooo... Not good. You may just need to go and kill some Yor to take your mind off it. Hummm... Did I just encourage someone from a rival alliance to play and score points...

Doh!

Don't worry damoose, there's not much encouragement needed over here - we're all quite motivated already when it comes to Yor-killing.

Not just you but me too. My heart was pounding as I could see the win coming together. I was hoping the Drengin and the Yor had no clue as to what was soon to happen as I staged constructors around 5 worlds (3 Drengin and 2 Yor). Then once was all set, 5 terror stars appeared and 5 booms later, as it says in Hitchhiker's Guide, they just 'boiled away into space'. I was all staged for the Altarians when the UP decided to disallow terror stars I did not think of leaving the UP at the time.

Curious now, if I had left the UP to complete my terror star strike, would the Altarians have dropped from friendly? Would they have suspected something? Could I have done it?

Morning Terl!

The only thing about leaving the UP is that you would lose all trade routes (yours and others trading with you). By this late in the game that could severely cripple your economy, and *could* cause relations to drop from the loss of trade.

Aside from that, it doesn't appear to affect the fact that you can park TS / Constructors right next to a system without anyone giving a damn and if you do it one turn before you build the TS you should be able to cope with the economy hit.

Darn! I should have done that! I had 40,000 in the bank and all the constructors in place. All I needed was one turn to get the terror stars and one to say bye-bye.

Good to see you Loth. Hey, take it easy out there. If you see a Yor hitchhiking you know what to do....

Wow! I just realised we put a quarter of a mill between us and the Fellowship over the weekend . That is some going guys, we'll have the top spot under wraps by the end of the month, but I think Greldon will be the first Guardian at No. 1 sometime this week.
