I decided to play a Huge/Crippling last night for some odd reason. If you ever want to feel superior to the computer, drop down a difficulty level for one game. Let's just say the Yor eradication was very pretty, at least on my part! Lots of pretty fireworks in space as their fleet fell victim to my invasion fleets... I'll probably be back to Maso again for the next game. Even though I had quite a bit of fun slicing and dicing the AI, nobody really gave me much of a challenge. Even the Drengin, who managed to build a somewhat respectable fleet, didn't show much animosity to my fleets of Avatars and AMMs.

I'm sure that's exactly what my computer felt/"thought" when I tried to play a crippling. Maybe it even complained that it was such a short game : "1001?1001000010001110101!" => "what? Already over!"

I have tried couple of masso lately and my tech disavantage has not help me to enjoy the game, I think I am going to drop to crippling.

I play painful, and the "tech-gap" is already huge. If it was 1960's, I'd say there are at least 465 sputniks orbiting my planets

OSHA Advisory

This is an advisory for owners of the Yor model XM4Mk3 models of the Elite Troopers line. These models have defective microchips that have resulted in many serious injuries. If you own one of these models, or several legions of them, you may wish to return them to your local suppliers for the free upgrades.

You know, those model XM4 Mk3's always were really buggy. I much prefered the Mk2.

The Mk 2 did have a better explosion when you hit them full on with a nice avatar. The Mk 3 does not provide the same explosive effects yet the included "death scream" module and "throes of death" effects made the Mk 3 fun also.

Remember those darn Mk1's? All they'd do is fall over like R2D2 hit by a Jawa ray in A New Hope...

Why are we having our discussions on someone else's thread?

Good question

So answers one of the manic Jedi. Nice one. Heh.

No, I think that model is supposed to blow up in the face of the enemy. They can't seem to kill them any other way with their relatively weak firepower. Cheaper to upgun the later model with a few more pounds of explosive than to bolt on some more blasters. Good source of parts for tuning up other Yor and even provides explosives for those particularly nasty international incidents. I just love dual use technology. Gerakken, the Yor tinkerer.

The Yor in battle

General Y1-A4 sits before his command console. "Let's see, start-program files, hmmm. ah yes, 'attack run'. Click begin. Mwahahahaha!"

The console responds "Error in attack.dll Send error report?"

"Dammit! Start--program files--where is it? Oh yes! Movement to contact, we'll try that one then."

The console responds "This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. Contact support should this problem persist."

"Oh drat! Ok then, let's see what we can do next. Ah, envelopment.... [click]...."

Console: "This battle is set to run in 256 colors. Some battle scenes will not appear correctly if run at the current resolution...."

Back to work....

Good morning!

Looks like a busy day for me, but I'll pop in as often as I can, so I can try to keep up with everything that's going on.

I posted this before, but I think it got missed...I finished my first 1.19 game last night and after submitting it, I check the Metaverse and the score didn't show up. There were no error messages that popped up either. Right now, it's still not posting, so do I email CariElf on that?

Did you submit it under the proper ID. I've done that.

Did you try submitting it again.....could've been a site problem, maybe?
