Oh...and did anyone notice that the Guardians now sit atop the Metaverse! We're #1 baby!!

Yeah, I'm not falling for that. I know a hoax when I see it.

But what's this easter egg? How do I get it?

I was surprised! It is a bit tricky keeping everything just right so you can get it, but boy is it worth it

APRIL'S FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLL!!!!!

Hanging on long enough to assemble the invasion fleet was the tricky part for me. I usually don't get to Excalibur tech in my games.

That was hard for me too. I usually go straight for terror stars, but I wanted to see the special movie. The excaliburs were cool. It took a while to get the fleet requirement though for this to work.

Has Renegade changed his nickname again?

Hi guys!

Sorry I've been away for so long, I've just been trying to catch up on the thread! Nine pages????? I didn't think I'd ever catch up!

Congratulations Guardians on reaching the top spot in the Metaverse!!! An unbelievable accomplishment! When I started the Galactic Guardians, my main goal was to have fun and see where that took me. I never would have guessed I would have been joined by such talented people who shared the same enjoyment of the game that I do. This could never have been possible without the support and activity of every Guardian. I thank you all for everything!

I'd like to welcome our new member, Alarac Steele to our great empire! Thank your for choosing the Guardians for your empiring experience!

I apologize for being so tardy the past several days and hope that I can return to some level of activity soon.

I can't wait to start a new game and try for that easter egg!

Yeah, all that hitting the turn button waiting for those late game techs is a bit boring. But worth it in the end

Hi, Theoden! It's good to hear from you.

#1 This has got to be some kind of record!

#6214  by Citizen Magnumaniac - 4/1/2004 8:45:24 AM

Hmm, Renegade just posted a new thread about the Guardians and GROSS joining so they could become the number one empire in the metaverse

I guess you didn't actually check the meta first Renegade? Why would we need to merge with anyone else

Nice try though

I saw that too. I watched the weather this morning but I do not recall a particular place freezing over last night

Freezing over! I think it would have to be in the middle of a multi-millennia ice age

Looks about right. Well done to Triforces for holding on to 2nd

I'm afraid there was little anyone could have done, considering the mood Greldon, Lothmorg, Slothrop and Amulek ahve been in for the past month

I thought I heard GROSS was disbanding...something about shaving their heads and selling pencils in the airports?

A timely return Theoden.

How's it feel up there as the emperor of the NUMBER 1 empire in the Metaverse

It feels goooooooooooooood!

Seriously, though, this is my second time in first place and it is just as satisfying, just in a different way. The Fellowship and the Guardians have quite a bit of similarities actually. The Fellowship had colorful, lively characters who enjoyed jokes, stories and general goofiness just as much as the game. So does the Guardians! The Fellowship still has some great people, just fewer active now.

I will say, however, that being an Emperor makes you realize how important each member of the empire is. No emperor could do anything without the support of all his members. You guys are the real heroes!
