ED, there are a lot of strategies to use in the game, don't try to rush too much or you will loose interest in the game. Now when we have the next Clone War, then be ready for rush game!!!!!

You bet LW. I'm still trying different strategys and playing the game completely differently from game to game. That is what is so fun and different about this game. There are so many different stategys to win. I'll be trying out your Partys stars my next game.

There are a *ton* of new Stardock Approved mods in the Library. Many by Renegade (thanks!). Most have become staples of my game:

Great new event pack and other events
New ships like the Wasp, Death Glider (my favorite), Mini-Colony ship (by CariElf herself), advanced freighters and so on.
Lots of new events.
Cool new improvements like the Religious Capital.

Some cool stuff in there to spice up your game. All with the Stardock approved logo, thus will not effect your ability to submit to the metaverse.

Glad you popped in Gandalf - those tech victories really do suck when it comes to points, but like you say - it's nice to see all the movies (once).

And thank you for the props, exalteddruid, as well, embarassment is for when your pants fall down and you realize you've forgotten the ol' boxers, I'm sure there's no need for it here. My drubbings will come, never fear, probably sooner, rather than later.

Game 3 of GC is true, but I've got more than a couple of TBS games under my belt, I daresay beyond the norm. The concept of resource management has always intrigued me, and at it's core, is remarkably the same from game to game, from boardgames such as AH's 3rd Reich, all the way up to and including GalCiv. GC's interface is so friendly, as well as intuitive, that after the 1st game, I had a pretty good feel for the controls, and the second game gave me a decent understanding of the game's particulars. Game 3 was putting the first two's lessons together, along with what I felt was a strong set of starting picks, +50 Econ was amazing, and morale was never a problem.

BTW, you wouldn't be an MtG player by chance, would ye?

Actually, the tech victory is not so boring, if you put enough spending into it.

I did finish all the victory conditions, just that the scores sucked so bad, I did not submit them. Maybe one of these days I will. Or not.

No. Actualy got the nicname at msn game zone, it was one of the computers suggestions when a name I wanted was not available. I thought it was a great suggestion and have used in ever since.

GTR, how exactly to you get those? I've got StarDock installed, and I can see threads discussing the mods, but I'm not certain where they are (or how to tell which ones are the "SD approved files"). Any help would be appreciated.

Oh, and the Guardians may never forgive you: you forgot to close the door behind you and I snuck in right behind you!
