I too enjoy your posts, Spy Master!

But that's just the opinion of some guy on the internet called "Greldon".

I leave them on. I play Large/Rare/Tight, and they help to keep the Majors from getting planets - to an extent. Usually, I let the AI smack them around, then I buy a CT and take the undefended planet.

#7128  by Veteran Grand_Admiral_Thrawn - 4/8/2004 12:17:06 AM

Ah, I don't play that way. I haven't conquered anyone for quite some time.

#7129  by Citizen littlewotts_ - 4/8/2004 12:18:22 AM

I conquer a few races, and Greldonize the rest.

Littlewotts, pardon my noobie-ness, but what's a "CT"? (Sounds like I definitely want to get me one of those!)

Whoa, MC! That was kinda wierd. I thought I double posted.

#7136  by Veteran Grand_Admiral_Thrawn - 4/8/2004 12:24:34 AM

You did. And this thing grows by the second. Stop talking guys, go take you wifes/girlfriends/both out for a night/week on the town/in a different country. Just relax.

#7137  by Citizen Greldon - 4/8/2004 12:24:44 AM

I leave them on too....if for no other reason than they occupy the majors a lot of the time. They usually won't take on a couple minors and the Galactic Guardians at the same time, especially since my constructors headed out in all directions gives me a nice military rating.

#7138  by Citizen Soul Sphere - 4/8/2004 12:25:33 AM

A trick is to have a few parked near the minors systems and when the Major AI's start attacking the minors you have transports near bye to take over there undefended systems. It's nice when the Majors take out the minors ships in orbit for you, leaving there planet undefended for you to take after there hard work.

Giagantic maps return the largest scores (pre-AP), so I would suggest that.

LW, trying to put two and two together, and I keep coming up with 60K! A couple pages back you made the statement quoted above, so I started my giganto map game. But then just a couple posts ago you referred to playing large/rare/tight and I got to thinking, "Huh?" So I pulled up your stats, and sure enough you're pulling down 60K games on large maps! (I had assumed that you had to max out both the difficulty and the map size to get the high scores.) Very curious!

Heh, that makes me smile.

On AP you can do that.

So now I'm making my shopping list. I need a couple CT's, an AP, plenty of TS's... What else? Oh right, an acronym dictionary!

And look at that "double post" by two different Guardians! If that isn't proof that we think alike I don't know what is!

That tripped me out for a second there.
