ED, yup--you can double-click on an AI's resource-based SB and see what improvements (if any) they've placed there.

You can also hit the little blue "i" near the bottom right.

Hey Littlewotts, you're closing in on the top 50 real quick WTG.

Major D and ED, the double starbase thing is a bug that causes the AI constructors to "miss" the resource on their first attempt, and it does appear to have been fixed in the latest AP beta (1.49M). You can double-click on an AI starbase and get the information on which modules are installed the same as for your own.

Just completed a game with the new build and it looks OK. Alliance win and it submitted fine

Once again, superb effort by Stardock. I think AP is getting fairly close to retail now. Still a few "string not found" errors for morality that need ironing out - I'll head over to the bug thread and let them know.

Just 3K from the front page now! One more game should do it hopefully

Nothing like having 4 Guardians on the front page.

Indeed!

Well, as soon as Naqmir gets back in action, there might be 5 up there. MC is right behind me, so perhaps there is room for 7 of us.

Wasn't that the challenge from CypherPax?

I do believe it was.

At least they serve it the same way Geldron does. Flame broiled

I do like burgers from BK. Hmm...now I'm hungry.

We want more!

Greldon, what would be the advantage of having two SBs there?
The only advantage I can think of is that one's modules treats the other like it's a ship, increases defence, etc. I'm still using the 1.49J build. I've built bases (TS) right next to an AI mining base, blew up the system, then built a base on the resource.

That's a good point. I'll have to try that in my next game.

WTG, Magnum!! I'm sure saying that a lot lately. Your progress has been outstanding!

You have--and I can't believe how much fun I am having being here! Thanks Lothmorg (and all)! Got a new top-ten list almost ready; hopefully by tomorrow night.

Good Lord Gentlemen! One day and about 10 pages! My word! Did I miss anything important?

#7367  by Citizen Naqmir - 4/8/2004 9:27:47 PM

Well, as soon as Naqmir gets back in action

I should be submitting alot of games over the next week as I just got off for spring break.

Congradulations to all Gaurdians on 5 mil. When I joined we only had about 4 hundred thousand. Great Job!

Thanks Greldon. I put it down to an incredibly inspirational empire, with a great leader, and some very useful tips from some bloke on the internet that likes stories.

Go for it Naqmir, we want that first page for ourselves

Well, my next game is about two thirds done, but I've got to get some sleep now (2:30am), so the front page news will have to wait until later today (tomorrow for you lot).

Goodnight all! Oh, and congrats to Lothmorg in advance for something that he'll do that needs congratulating.

#7369  by Citizen Brewskin - 4/8/2004 9:41:46 PM

Add one more to the count, though I mis-clicked at the end and blew up the Arcean's last planet instead of capturing it.

The Yor died first, after I'd stripped their pathetic Psilon-wannabe civilization of everything worthwhile, including their fleet.

Speaking of that... Has anyone heard of any more shows of the new Battlestar Galactica series? Well, I *heard* that they were going to continue the series after that little 4 hour "show".

new Battlestar Galactica series?

I havn't seen the new one. Is it good Loth? I really enjoyed the old ones. Does anyone watch star trek here. The new enterprise one? what do you think of it?

#7374  by Citizen Lothmorg the Black - 4/8/2004 11:05:55 PM

Man, the new Battlestar Galactica mini series was GREAT! Loved it. I can usually quote the old episodes almost as well as I can the original Star Trek.

The new Star Trek isn't bad either. Although it's a bit slow, I do find it more entertaining than DS9.
It's a shame that Voyager went away. That was the best, IMO.
