Just finished my 1st tough game. I wanted to tell you about it but after reading the 10 or 20 pages since I visted 4 hours ago I cannot remember it any more. Oh yah, some race called the Draginol came along took half my systems before I knew what was going on. I had to give it 2 more systems for peace. When I offered the peace deal I asked for a little money. Like 1/2 million credits for as long as the slider could go and they accepted the offer. I thought for sure they could not afford to pay but my bank account get growing and growing. Unlimited funds the rest of the game. Eventually I destroyed them but had more money then I could spend in 10 games. Major Terror star strike on all races on all systems at once for win. The game though kept kicking me out when I was doing the strike. So I just saved and saved and eventually got through it. Anyway my 1st tough game is in the books.

Way to go ED!! Yeah, I have had the same problems getting kicked out on some of the terror star strikes. I have started saving right before the strike starts and right after it finishes.

Major: When you finish a game don't submit it. Rename the "EndGameSave" file. I just rename them "EndGameSave01", 02, etc. It's not necessary to create new folders as long as you rename the file before completing the next game. When ready to submit just load the EndGameSaveXX, click "turn" and submit as usual, wash, rince, repeat as needed.

I have started saving right before the strike starts and right after it finishes.

When that happens to me I save before the attack, and after destroying two or three systems, and after the last system is destroyed. Which means I sometimes save four or five times in a single turn. A small pain in the butt, but not too bad. I always save before the first strike anyway. I got in the habit of making a save before the end game several years ago.
