I think there's a little gnome stealing my beer. But he only comes around when one is open. The first and second ones, I'm pretty sure he didn't get to. However, that third one, it disappeared rather quickly. I need a gnome trap.

Those beer gnomes are the worst. It seems the only time one can see them is when one is already on the verge of passing out. But that can't be. Passing out after only 3 beers is impossible! And then you wake up and find there are 6 bottles lying around. Why, that sneaky gnome must have cast a sleep spell and drank the others! Evil creatures...

Hey guys, time for the day shift to check in! Wow, you guys had a busy night last night!

I decided to play a 1.49 game again last night. Small/Maso...nothing unusual. The AIs are complete suckers for trading away their Transports/Combat Transports. They supplied my invasion forces for the Yor (first to die ), Torians, Drengin, and Korx. Anyway, I think I may have a little problem. I decided to Alpha Strike the Arceans, Altarians and Drath. When I hit the Turn button after the Big Bang, the game CTDs. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I could just invade to finish the game, but it was midnight and I was a little tired and lazy.

Hi Theoden.

I think I saw someone reporting something similar to that in the bug thread. But I'm not sure now.

So, what did you think of AP?

Good morning Theoden! I did not get a chance to finish mine last night but I easily have it well in hand. I am researching dreads and the AI doesn't even have battleship yet The Yor are my next target with fleets on the way to each of their three planets. They will be disassembled....

You're right the night crew was very busy

Thanks, Nastavnik...I'll check the early bug thread! I looked at the last few posts, but I didn't see anything.

AP isn't too bad...the music for the Korx is cool! They really nerfed trading with the Carinoids! And the starbase thing is kind of weird (building a resource starbase and then another one directly next to it.)

Better than the Drengin? When that starts, and always loud BTW, that is when the wife usually says "are you still playing that stupid game?"

That starbase thing I think is a bug, but there is stuff about it in the 1.19 error thread.

Much better!

Hmmm...I was playing AP, but that just means they transferred the problem to 1.19 (and I guess 1.20).

Oh, Theoden, you will be glad to know in my most recent game, the Yor were the second to go. It was just for convient for Toria to die first. The AI doesn't know how to bolster defenses even at Painful. I took a 30 billion planet with ONE fully loaded combat transport, and just used traditional attack.

Sorry I can't be more specific about it. I saw your post and it gave me some Matrix "déjà-vu" sensation.

The AI doesn't know how to bolster defenses even at Painful.

In my game, my almost desperate situation one, it took 110 troops against their 96 and only 7 survived... First time I have such results. Usually I send something like 1/2 of the planets population and 1/3 come out alive. Not this time...

Morning, Mayito!

#773  by Veteran Grand_Admiral_Thrawn - 2/19/2004 8:42:15 AM

I guess I just have good soldiers, if mine kill at a 7 to one ratio (about 750 million survived)

Hey Theoden, nothing yet about the Clone war in the news???
